as i downloaded its manual from gsmarena to know the facts
and guess wat
it is clearly mentioned in the manual
kindly check the manual and do it and do post ur reviews about these things which i have asked about
manual is very small only 3mb on gsmarena
kindly check and post ur comments as in india we cant check mobile beforhand buying it and neither can return it as some countries people can do..

hi
i just wanna know one thing
is there really time lapse camera option built in mobile
ie
every 2sec to every 10min it can click a pic..
is ir real..
otherwise i liked this mobile so much
every forum is filled with so much priases for this mobile
i have checked so many site
one site mentions this thing that it can take time lapse pics
if it is correct i am buying it tomorrow only
please tell me..

Go to "tools" folder,then "app man" icon,then "settings" then by "software installation" go to the option and make it "all" as well as "online certif.check" to "off" thats it u can now install tons of apps and games...
i recommend the following sites,for your N71 (all s60 3rd edition apps will work,as well as games with a 240x320 resolution):

Guys! I will be buying a new phone soon! Which is better? N71 or N70? I've been thinking alot coz I can't decide on what to buy. I had a Nokia 6101 long ago and I am not happy with it's clam style that's why I am thinking twice whether I should buy another clam phone. But based on the comments, alot of u liked N71 very much. And which of the two phones have more memory (internal and default memory card combined)?

I have recently bought a Nokia N71 handset, it is wonderful, but I become confused because its main (internal) display flicks (blinks) sometimes; especially whenever I am watching recorded camera videos and pictures in the gallery. Would you please inform me whether it’s a normal feature of this kind of display or mine has a problem? If there is a problem what should I do? Yes i fully aggree with eli71724 comments that the N71 is really an excellent S60 3rd Edition smartphone that is underated cos of its somewhat bulky size.It is excelent value for money relative to the N80 and N73.I have lots of apps and games working perfect on my N71.
My main pros would be:
-big,high quality 240x320 screen
-good quality 2mp camera with good quality components used
-good audio playback thru speakers or headphones
-audio adapter in box to use your own headphones
-fairly speedy UI once everthing is loaded into memory
-i like the clamshell design
-good build quality
-very good compatiblilty with apps and games(some games run faster on N71 than N73)
My main cons would be:
-screen marks on the main screen caused by the phones keypad,but can be wiped away with a cloth
-really low internal memory of around 10mb
-bulky size (depands on the person)
-smallish keybad
-difficult to remove memory card slot,will not be a big issue if u buy a big memory card though
On the whole i am very happy with my N71,the phone is smooth running and hardly ever crashes unlike other s60 v3 phones like the E61.A recomended purchase.

Yes both cameras can be used to take pictures and videos as well. N71 is for music and is more affordable than the n73 and n80. N71 performs faster than the n80 (based on my observations). The sound quality of the speakers is great! Also the headsets perform very well...Great screen, very vivid and clear but cannot rotate images in gallery.The only feature missing in n71 is the wi-fi...U should buy a screen protector because the keypad causes scratches on the screen... N80 has wi-fi and has 3megapixel cam...but the sound of the speakers i think is weaker than the n71...slow user interface especially on the gallery... has macro mode(for taking close-ups)unlike the n71... N73's lens user carl zeiss(glass) and can capture 3.2 megapixel pics using the main camera.it has no wi-fi but the screen is large...light weight and looks like the sony ericsson phones...go for the nokia n71, it's worth your money.^_^

n 71 i like this phone , but ..... one stupid problem the keyboard scratch the screen , why nokia !!!?? that make it look bad , now i am looking for a pda device . but problems everywhere .....

How do I extend my battery life? My n71 only lasts for about 2 days and sometimes only 1 day of heavy use...and what will happen if i will update my software using the nokia software updater...will i lose apps? my apps are installed in my memory card...thanks!!!

Of course, N71 definitely supports SIS and SISX files running on Symbian 9.1. Don't be misled.

And N71 is way better than N70,two big selling points being the way better screen = N70 has 2.1" 176x208 screen whereas N71 has 2.4" 240x320 screen which makes a big difference.
Also N71 runs the latest S60 3rd edition OS whereas N70 runs the older S60 2nd Edition OS. I am very satisfied with my N71.
