mudasser you are taking utter rubbish, The N71 is a proper series 60 3rd edition smartphone.I have a N71 and have tons of apps and games installed and working perfectly fine.Maybe you do not know how use the phone or something else.Go to the "tools" folder,then "app manager" and then settings and make sure that installion is set to off.All the sis and jar files i have installed on my N71 worked 1st time,the themes support is a bity crappy but that seems to be a problem with s60 3rd edition phones in general.
Furthermore the N71 offers excellent value for money than say an N73,cos the N71 has the same screen(240x320,2.4" size) same OS,same CPU,similar amount of free RAM,same video recording abilities and more. The main advantage the N73 gives u is the excellent camera,slimmer size & more internal memory.

i like nokia n71. only problem is that it is compatible with .jar files but is not compatible with .sis file. and all good softwares come in .sis format. how can i change the format from .sis to .jar

humm..i wonder...which is better?n71 or the up coming n75 who people say is the upgrade version of the n71...is it?can somebody help me...cuz ive been waiting to buy this phone, but suddenly theres the n75..huh...hard decision...i dunno...are the batteries fine?which has longer life battery,n71 or n75?and is it a troublesome to take photos with n71?cuz it operates only when open,right?

Thank you. Now i know. The 320x240 pixels thing has always puzzled me. At first i thought gsmarena had it wrong but i go to newmobile and that's also what it says.

The screen resolution of the N71, is 240x320, not 320x240 as stated in the spec page here. The identical screen is found in the N73 & N93: 262k,240x320,2.4".My box of my N71, clearly says 240x320 also some other Nokia phones on the Nokia site spec pages also gives incorrect info, screen resolution 320x240,while it is actually 240x320,an example being the 6233.

Screen resolutions are described horizontal to vertical (176x220 240x320).
So what i don't get is why is the N71 resolution described as 320x240. Does this mean that the sreen has more horizontal pixels than the vertical? Wouldn't pictures look distorted if that's the case? Owners of N71 please post your comments.
I've always wanted this phone but i keep putting off purchasing it and i buy another phone instead because of many negative reviews and comments. But i really like this up to now so i might buy one in a week.
N71 users please post positive and negative points of this phone.

My N71 is I month old, a great fone. Problem is the fone keeps shutting down i.e. switching itself off. Anyone got this problem? Any solutions?

in the video when he connects to internet and then removes the arrow on the screen like if he is using a mouse, does he do that with the multimedia key located just under the internal screen or with the normal navigation key located below it between four keys?

Hi,my friend got one of this mobile.It has everything a mobile must have inside.It is the best cell phon from Nokia I suppose.thx Nokia for manufacturing such a great cell phone!

I'm a hardcore user of mobile phones. I'm using N71 for a month now. FULLY IMPRESSED by the features packed in this phone. I've NO PROBLEMS with this phone. Good Sound, decent image quality, great screen, very good browser. I'm suggesting this to all who like to carry their world with them.
This phone will realy add something to your personality. must have one. any doubts and suggestions anybody can ask me.

how can I changed the internal memory from 16 MB to a larger amount.
I have a problem, when I install a software in my memory card, the amount of internal memory decreased(from 16 MB) spontaneously.why??

If you like clamshell, N71 is good. Better OS and faster than N70, better video, good display, good camera, 3G, 2 lens, radio, got everything in a Symbian phone. Compare with Samsung clamshell, N71 is slightly heavier, but held in your hand, its got the same feel as Samsung clamshell. I left my N70 for N71. I leave it open on my table n it looks like a mini laptop. Nice.

i bought n71 last saturday then i dont have any major problem in this fone when its hang i just remove th batt but the battery are so weak wont last for 5 hour surfing
