it seems that N72 is cheaper than N70... why is that??

My colleague and I am wondering, actually on a bet, the use of that small clear transparent len in top front, beside the N72, what is this really for? thank you for enlightening us.

i think this phone is really good its well designed has all the features you can want and it works for a large amount of time.. i am plannin to get this phone nd guess how old i am 11! but this phone is very good is has good connection you can hear properly all the things you need in a phone.

@Dio thanks so much buddy for ur quick reply.wont be going for 6300 as have heard lots about its battery backup that it sux.have used N72 recently,sold that few days back as i was facing some problms like hanging,while using keypad it use to restart etc but except 4 that i feel thats the best fone i have ever used.i personally liked E50.wont be listening to music much but ya 2MB cam wud be better i feel but if E50's 1.3MP cam is not that bad compared to other fone then its fine with me,thats why was giving a serious thoughts 2 6233.6233 is not a symbian fone?now tell me which will be the best fone for me?thanks in advance.bye tc

Well I am pretty sure that there is no 6233 Music Edition and never will be, because it's a business class phone. Ok if you are choosing between 6233, e50, n72 and 6300:
I would personally stick to e50 and n72. In my opinion 6233 is a bit better than 6300 (except for the display) and e50 is like a newer 6233 with Symbian. It depends on if you listen to music on your phone and you need a better camera. If you don't, go for e50, but note that it has small fonts and the joystick may be uncomfortable to you, i suggest trying it out before buying. But if you like taking photos and listening to music (sometimes) then n72 is best of the four.
My personal choice - n72...
To agrobor:
If you want your phone to read PDF and have a good camera, then you need a Symbian phone with a fine camera. The best choice would be Nokia n73, it has a good camera, and it can read PDF, Word, Excel and so on... n72 is also good, but it's below n73.
Btw, SE phones usually can't read PDF, unless it's w950 or m600.
But i don't think any of my mentioned phones fit into 300 bucks, so n72 is second best choice below n73.

I would like the opinion of you people on buying a phone with a nice camera and also the ability to use software, mainly spreadsheets and pdf readers in te 250 to 300$ range. I'm thinking N72, but the cameras seem to be better on the sony-E phones. But i'm not sure if I can load the softwares on the S-E phones??

I m using n 72 for the last 4 months after n 70 i bought this phone because the processor of N 72 is much better then n 70 so go for the n 72 and if u want a 2 cameras 3g phone go 4 N 73.

i have heard ppl often saying that d picture quality n sound
quality is not proper.. to satisfy consumers,
even ther is a problem in cameras cover. it is quite lose so.. this is all to say

Voiece commands should work perfectly. Their settings are in Settings > Voice Commands. If it's on, then just press and hold left softkey for a few seconds, it should turn on the voice command mode and you just say the command.
To Dave54:
Go to menu, go to the bottom of the list and there is a catalog with 2 arrows on it (dunno the name in english, sorry). Enter it, and you'll see Bluetooth menu item. Enter it, then Bluetooth > On . You probably missed the menu item, it's on the bottom of the menu and has a catalog and 2 blue arrows on the icon.

Samsung d890 ? I have NEVER heard of it, Samsung d890 does not exist. Maybe you meant e890 ? If yes, then it's display is better than n72's. Nokia n72's display resolution is lower than it should be, but really not that bad. I think it's display is fine, but you should check it yourself somewhere.
Other than the display, the camera of n72 SHOULD be better than e890, but i have never seen any samples...
Obviously n72 is better than e890, except for the display, that's all i have to say...

Wired headset ? You mean headset with wires ? Well you can always buy a wireless one, but the music quality won't be that good, because wireless sets are made for talking, not music.
If i remember correctly w810's headset has a specific link, that works only for SE, so you can't connect it to a Nokia phone. But you can buy good headphones with a 3.5mm link (works for mp3 players, computers) and use it with this phone, because it has a 3.5mm switch included in the package. Ok this is getting confusing... However there is also SE w950 which is Symbian, and a SE Walkman, but it's more expensive...

i am planning to buy this N72.....................but i dont like the wired headset nor the music quality
I prefer the quality of the SE w810i quality of music is so sweet....but i want a smart fone............can any one advice me if i can use the wired headset of the SE w810i with the N72 for the music quality to be on par with the SE mobile?

I am really gonna get this phone in pink..but someone mentioned the display is really bad..but i dun use it as a DC but at least it has to be decent rite?(btw, my samsung D890 is pretty good at imaging i think)so how does n72 compare to it?

its a good set to use. the camera cover sometimes give some trouble to hold but still its a nice set;)

I've had this phone for about 3 months and I love it. I'm in USA and I paid $280 for it, not bad huh? Problem I have is that I can't get the voice commands to work, I have done several things. If there is an expert out there, pleas advise. Thank you

Once again, i'm writing this the tenth time. If you are a music lover, and always listen to music on your phone, not your mp3 player, then probably n70me will suit you better. Same goes if you need 3g or not. If you will use 3g, n70me is for you. If you rarely listen to music on your phone, and you never use 3g, or don't even know what it is, then only n72.
