Hi
I'm having this problem with my n73. every once in a while it hangs up and it deletes all the messages in the inbox, sent, draft etc folders. i absolutely have no clue why this is happening. after rebooting the phone i am shocked and unhappy to find all my saved messages permanently deleted. it has happened thrice in a month. Plz help me

I have owned a nokia n73 for over a year now and I would THOROUGHLY discourage anyone from buying it. it is basically a silver piece of crap.
The joystick has been a constant problem, barely working for months, sticking and eventually breaking completely.
The screen is poor at best, and lets dust in really easily.
It is pathetically slow to do anything from taking a photo to scrolling through messages. It is incapable of exiting one application and entering another quickly without freezing.
Nokia has a continuing problem with poor build quality and they basically just throw in plastic breakables to reduce the production cost, this saving is NOT passed onto us the consumer.
Go with sony ericcson or Samsung they consistently produce better quality handsets and have recently been better than nokia with specs.
I was going to upgrade to N85 but because nokia have pissed me off so badly I will now go for samsung I8510.

hi i have a big problem with my n73 m and i don`t know what to do! when i try to install a theme it`s giving me an error and it`s sayng "certificate error contact the application supplier." what do i have 2 do! please help meee thank you!

I just traded my 6233 + $40 for a N73 ME yesterday. I liked the 6233 a lot but wanted another Symbian phone as i was used to my old 6600, so i got this.
Pros: Symbian. Lots of internal memory, no more trouble with transfers like S60v2 phones. Awesome camera with flash, video recording is good too in MP4, and the flash LED can stay on when recording video which is a big plus. The light sensor which also doubles as a flashing blue LED when the phone is in sleep mode or BT is enabled is also cool, but a bit too bright at night. Good battery life. Loud speakers, nice stereo widening effect on the Music Edition, not as good as the 6233 though. Very hackable software. :)
Cons: Complex Java apps and games run very slow. Software is memory-hungry and likes closing applications out of the blue. I have OggPlay as my audio player, and when i leave it playing and start a Java game, it plays 3-4 songs and then closes. If i use the built-in music player it bails out even sooner. Very poor front camera. Not that i'd use video call anyway.
A little advice: If you decide to update it via Nokia Software Update, if you made a backup, after you do the update do not restore anything except messages and contacts from the PC Suite backup. I restored the apps too, and now my camera is bugged - first time i turn on the phone i have to start the front cam first and then open the main camera slide, otherwise the main camera won't work. It then works fine and i can start the main camera directly later, but still, it's annoying.

Had it 4 more than 1 years! Now i am using nokia n82! Nokia n72 give me sattisfied, the feature so powerful,i mean camera and speaker! But if u have more money, buy n82 coz it has extra feature! The camera so great + xenon flash that unbeaten, video recording fabolous, music quality via headset give you great experience, vividly colour screen, gps, n-gage! And so on.

Yes the phone is good but the apps eates the RAM.
so downloading a taskmanager for nokia n73 saves time from restarting the phone
