I Have just Bought N72 last week, But now i wanna buy N73.. can any one tell me from where i can get the best Price of it.. And ALSO tell me wats the price of this Piece of Technology in The market now... Reply FAST AS I M FURIOUS AND ALSO CURIOUS TO KNOW ABT IT>>>>

Hi, all. I using Nokia N73.
I try to upgrade my phone firmware 3.0704.1.0.1 to the latest version 4.0726.2.0.1.
After upgrading done, it takes 10 secs to search for a contact in my address book whenever
you do it by going to Contact or from Message to insert recipent in SMS.
There is no change in the number of contacts in my address book before I upgrade to the latest firmware.
So I went down to Nokia service centre at Wheel Lock Orchard Singapore.

13 Days Just To Install Firmware

I send my phone to Nokia centre at Wheel Lock on July 6 (Friday). Tracking number is WHLA172261-001.
Nokia personnel called me up on July 7 (Sat) to inform me that my phone will be sent to HQ.
On July 20 (Fri), I got back my phone with firmware 4.0727.2.2.1 installed. The menu was all change to my
surprise. And when I press the right top button, it goes to Music player immediately. I check my phone,
format it and install back all software and go to sleep.
On July 21 (Sat), the problem happened again.
"It takes 10 secs to search for a contact in my address book whenever you do it by going to Contact or from
Message to insert recipent in SMS."
I check forum and discovered that the firmware 4.0727.2.2.1 is belong to Nokia N73 Music Edition and not
Nokia N73 which supposed to be the version 4.0726.2.0.1.
I looked back at the report of what was done. It was basically not change of hardware, but I guess simply
firmware upgrade and the worst part is that they upgrade the wrong firmware version for me without
knowing it. 13 days just to install firmware !!! What a joke!

PCB Board Change But Still Problems

On the same day July 21 (Sat), I sent my phone to Nokia centre and highlighted to them this problem.
They said that they will try to get it done by July 24 (Tue).
Tracking number is WHLA175495-001.
Upon getting back my phone, the firmware was correctly installed which is the version 4.0726.2.0.1.
However, when I accessing my address book, same problem occured with my current address book and
number of contact...
"It takes 10 secs to search for a contact in my address book whenever you do it by going to Contact or from
Message to insert recipent in SMS."
And I have to reduce the number of contact and its information attached to it. What a failure of this firmware.
This is not supposed to happened! And she told me to accept it.
Another problem is that whenever I on my hand phone, I have to key in the date and time!
I told the Nokia service lady that this is capacitor problem, not that after change the PCB change issue
that resulted in that the capacitor need to be charged. As I encountered this before with my friend Nokia 6288,
that Nokia change for me the capacitor. She said her engineer said so which I don't trust at all. When I asked her
to give me a promise to write a black and white letter to prove that their engineer is correct, she told me it is
not her policy. And when I asked for phone replacement, she said it is not their policy.
When I wake up, problem still exist. Everytime I on my phone, I have to key in date and time.
So the moral of the phone,
1) Nokia service people never listen to customer.
2) They think they are right, but in fact they are wrong. (Firmware installed wrongly, date/time issue.)
3) Their enginerr cannot make it.
Give up on Nokia poor service. Although their service centre look nicer over the year, but their serivce
and professionism is not there.

Just got this phone. This model still rocks, the features are better than other new models of competitors.

i got my fone with applications pre-loaded but i accidentally deleted the f-secure anti-virus. where can i download it for free, though it's only trial for 60 days? please help. thanks

LOL I'm using my phone nearly 3 days.
I'm calling, sending SMS, Listening music in loudspeakers & headset also, sometimes taking pics.
I'm listening music nearly 2 hours per day.
Still using nearly 3 days & I'm not turning my phone off

I have this phone for 6 months. I don't have any regrets. Software upgrades by nokia are helpful. My N73 now is like a combination of N73ME/IE. Sorry for those who didn't appreciate this phone.

this phone battery life suckssss !!
yes with sleep mode the phone can save battery power but once you make a video call then just call for 5 minute my battery power just went down one level
and the video call sucks too you cant even hear people speech on the loudspeaker and people see your image will be blueish and alot of noise (make people misunderstanding i got puberty pulse)
omg why am i purchase this phone !!
i will sell this phone in ebay to others make them panic hehe !!!
but anyway i dont think people will buy my phone lah as they see my opinion post

i have nokia e 65 (superb business phone) but i am tired of flip phones. i had n 73 prior to that. gave me sleepless nights..sold at distress.. planning to go for either n 73 music edition or e 50?? need expert advice on the same. thanx

i just brought my n73
when i turn my camera on.. the screen is blue
day or night. im not sure if there is something wrong
or it's suppose to be like that.

one thing still considering not to buy n73 is someone called it "street phone".
the " street phone" just can only last a short while. then the price dropped spiral.
and some more the value of trade-in price will be suffered.

N73 does not hang on firmware v3.0705.x.xx or higher. below v2 is were it hangs.
