Symbian is some kind of OS (operating system)
it's like ur pc running with Windows
without OS, the phone is just a brick!!
the good thing about symbian is u can maximize the full function of the phone by installing certain applications and turning it into some useful tool(e.g. remote control) provided u have the required tool(infrared in this case)
and as far as what i'm concerned, symbian 60 supports chinese language

the previous NOKIA phones when turned into silent mode, will not produce any sound when taking photos, but the alarm clock if it's on, the sound will still be heard.
the sound of the alarm clock however can be customised, for example when ur phone is in general mode, u can still set the alarm on minus the sound

its a gr8 ph but i donno how to delete themes for ma ph cauz after installing it does't show in app manager plzz help me out and one more thing does it support 1gb card plzzz help me out frenzzzz

thanks for the useful tips for holding the music button for 3 sec u get access to radio...not bad anyone have things tat i dont know for a noobie like me ...hahhaha...anywy where can i find the voice recording for n73? the only downside that i hate about nokia is that u cant create photo folder and jus see the photo inside n not reviewin every photo...n also music folder is the same things u cant sort it in the comp but only can create play list in phones abit troublesome...but anyway that no such a things as a 100% perfect phones sometime u gain some n lose some ...cheers... stil getting use to my nokia...:)

to oosi.you mast instal some good dictophone which record in mp3 not amr like original-i use "alon mp3 dicktophone",but must be good cracked version becouse if is not beeping ugly.madpanas

i would like to know up to what size mem card can n73 take is 1gig max. & what is the battery life because mine runs down in less than 2 days without any calls or music played.

Hi all!!!
My friend has a Nokia N73 phone and for some reason he cannot see who is calling him. It doesn't show the callers identity. I had a look but did not see any settings that I could change to see the caller identity. Is there any one who could help? Please e-mail me at engeltjie_123@yahoo.com

just wanted to add to 'masterpthug'
u can have shortcut to music player by pressing the silver key that is on the right of digits 3& 6 (aboce clear (c) key for 3 seconds and music player starts...
so u save one shortcut key for some other application.

to auto lock go to menu then setting scrol to security then phone and sim click it then scrol down to auto lock period.(wen u want to auto lock it)and the lock code. good luck.

ur advice is very useful tips especially the one is the hold the menu for 3 sec n delete the unwanted program tat runnin on the background thx alot for this tips...i didnt even know it...now i become a great fan of NOKIA again i used to have k750i n w850i but after finding that is always the same "old" way that SE is going i decide to switch to NOKIA n73ME... n i lovin it everyday now n then ...except for the power usage is really a dissppointed compare to SE wic is a great battery life when usin mp3 it is mayb about the symbian OS tat run n consume most of the power...but i can leave it by buyin a xtra battery...I LOVE MY n73 ME

Thanks alot no wonder i cant find the encode button the super@ default skin hide the encode button i cant even see n cannot even click on it but when i change the skin i see the button real clearly thx alot

listen if u turned the sleep mode off but ur bat stil running low the probs maybe u didnt charge ur phone 4 long hours. coz my phone bat is cool yea i start playing music abt 8am wen i leave house and i get bk like 7pm i do not swith the music off at all. and i stil got abit of bat.get a new bat and charge it 4 hours. or do nt browse too much. ok now lets go how to delete old themes.rememba u cant delete nokia themers coz it wont allow it. ok take a deep breath now..... r u ready? ok click menu-tools-appl manager click on it wil take 10secs to load everyting u installed in ur phone. scrol down and find the theme u want to delete once u done that click options and remove it. done! more free space..listen soon il give ya the link to download a software to instal in ur phone so u can make ur own themes in ur phone its like 1-2-3
-if u want to turn ur profile general to silent and vice versa.press # for 3 secs. if u want to lock ya keyboard press left selection key then * done. if u want to change the the boring display to more user friendly go.menu-setting-phone-general-standby mode then turn it off. if u do not like then turn standby on. also from there u can customise ur phone such as selection keys.if u want to use ur music as one touch key then scrol down active menu-click left selection key then look for music play then select it. done ur music now is just one key touch. do the same with other keys. ok this tip is really good coz reduce freezing the nokia n73. press or hold menu for 3 secs, it will show applications u opened recently for a quick access. because the more application u open is saved there and freeze the phone u can delete it by holding C THE the key is bottom corner.ur lil comp is cleaned.(it clean ur phone does not delete the things in there u can use it wen u want) gd luck

i have nt tried it yet, but maybe you can test if playing mp3 works in "offline" mode saves a little batt...i know that fm radio cannot work in "offline mode" but not of sure mp3 on the phone or card.

I've had this phone for about 3 months now, and I couldn't love it any more.. Has everything I need for a busy day with business, news and internet. Absolutely love it! Used to have a Motorola Mpx220, and I have to say that the Series 60, 3rd edition is SO much better than the Windows version on that phone.
