hi
im using n73 for past 4months im facing the software problem in it. the phone automatically turn off and some times even while speaking. iwannt to know the reason plz send me the mail.

hi guys,
i m one of the experience holder of the similar case as roberto.
i m from india, and bougt the cell here itself. i desperately need to update, coz its slowing day by day.
so any help on what could be done.
my firmware currently is
v2.0628.0.0.1
10-7-2006
rm-133
nokia n73(56.02)
I also have N73-1 under the battery.
does that (56.02) mean something?
Is it possible to get the update at the 'nokia care center'? i have not checked there as yet, coz its not in my town. i ll have to go to another town if they can....
also i needed 1 more help.
i m looking for a software, so i can keep some pictures under password. can some1 help?

But that´s the problem. When I tried to upgrade the software, I was told that my model is NOT compatible because it is a N73-1. And here in Brazil we have only N73 (no dash one). So I am trying to figure out what is the difference (if there is) between this models (N73 x N73-1). Do you have any idea of what is going on?

Tony,
The fact that you ask such a question where the answer could be found on the phone catalog or online spec from Nokia and many more, my honest advise is that u are not ready for any Nokia N series phone. Go get the K800i, its a lot more simplier and many claim to be betterthan N73.
If U again have to ask for the opinion between N73 and K800i. Please use the serch function at the end of the page. This question has been ask and answered.

my phone previously is unable to read chinese, i sent it back to my care center.... would like to know if i update my firmware, will the chiense software be deleted or it will still remain even though i update my firmware?

Hi all,
I m using N70 for the past 6 months, i m not having any problem there in but i m planning to buy N73 now juz bcoz of its camera & 3D sound..
Can anyone tell, wil it b a right option or i should go for some other phone.??

I was just reconfirming with u regarding the model. The firmwarethat u mentioned was long out-dated, I suggest u should have it up-dated to the latest (refer to Ali post for site to goto).
The present Firmware version is
V 3.0704.1.0.1

My phone has never crash no even once after the up-date and seems to respond faster. But remember to saved your phone memory data, it would be wipe off after up-date.

very disapointing,after 3 months use my original N73 as repalced after just 1 week due to mulfunction & the replacement N73 has given endless problems as well...will never get any nokia phone again!!

Lahiru is it dat time of the month again? or are you just trying to be funny?. . . . .ive tested N73, E61, N91-4GB and 8GB-ME, N70, SE W850, K800 and currently NOKIA N80ie, out of all of them i liked N73 AND N91 thats why i help with those!

One more thing. the phone works well here. sometimes it crashes, but it´s not a real problem. my software version is 2.0628.0.0.1 (10-07-2006). you can send me an e-mail if you want to go further in this question.

Hi Jon. I am referring to the hardware. We have a tag on the phone (take the battery out and you will see it) and is written: model N73-1 (dash one). I bought it in Oct 2006 in HK, but I live in Brazil. We have this model here, but it seems to be only N73. So weird!!! Thanx

Man if you are like W900i or if you owned a W900i plz stay & help in W900i section not in N73 section.This is not W900i section.

yep W900 is a pretty big phone hence the spacious keypad, W900 is nearly same size as a N93 just not as thick.

Sorry for not getting back to u earlier.
Well, the fact is, joystick will be a problem for all phones if they are not use properly. Use the numberpad if u have to play games on it.

I didnt test W850i or the W900i but W900i is a very big phone.I test SE newly announced W880i but the keys are very small & the display is small too.I dont like the model also.
I think who buyed the N73 in europe, they dont have problems.Bcoz im in europe & i dont have problems.
My phone is made Finland & i updated my FIRMWARE to newest one.
