        About N73

        1. Many is so slow you would get mad after few weeks.
        2. It don't hung while in music player but this phone has ever worst piece of headset. It gets out of phone and sometime it lose contacs so you get bad sound quality
        3. It does hung generally
        4. Stereo speakers are really loud
        5. It crash like a baby, every two steps
        6. Keyboard, can't use it, who can dial with this thing? Can't type even SMS with that.

          To anyone who wish to buy this phone. I had it for one month and got rid very quickly for half of price. Worst phone ever, constant crashes, updet it but no help, same problems. Sometime not getting my calls, very frustrating for others, they think I don't wish to talk with them. Battery life is terrible, had to buy more chargers to have them on every place. Don't trust Nokia. Every phone in N series is the same.

            im thinking of getting this N73 or SE K810i sooon. i dont know which one to get

            my doubts of N73 are:
            is the Menu slow?
            does it Hang is the music player?
            does it hang generally?
            are the stereo speakers loud?
            does it crash and jam?

            but im sure that the SE K810i WONT give me any problems ..since its not a smartphone

              Hi lahiru,

              For your info, N95 is for sale in Singapore for about S$1,200/- without contract. Is it out in France ?

                Hi Lahiru,

                Gorpalm, as u said in not ready for using smartphone. I agree totally.

                See he has gone back to his K750, and he happily shooting pictures and texting away. He has not miss all the other functions that a smartphone has.

                Gorpalm's situation should be a very good example for people who want to buy N73 for the wrong purpose and usage.

                Lahiru, how u manage to get such a fantastic score for the yeti's game. Good job.

                  To Gorpalm

                  You are not ready for smartphones.
                  Thats normal smartsphones slow.But not too mush.I know N73 slower than K750i but K750i is not a smartphone.

                  If you updated your FIRMWARE you have no problems.I'm using N73 since 4 months & I don't have any problems.

                    Oh, and forget to mention THAT keypad - what on earth was Nokia thinking? "Lets have a massive lovely screen but sacrifice the interface"? The keypad is tiny - My fingers aren't oversized, but with this keypad you have to stab vertically down on each button otherwise you're at risk of hitting other keys - This is not a phone for texters. Think Nokia realised there was a problem too, as they have those horizontal ridges built in to those tiny keys as finger guides to help separate them - a lousy ergonomic quick-fix. Maybe should have had a larger keypad and cut down on the number of function/soft keys (EIGHT).

                      Have actually stopped using this phone, and gone back to my trusty old SE K750.

                      Why?
                      Great screen but: you can't get a full screen wallpaper on it;
                      Comprehensive list of functions but: Nasty navigation and SLOW processing of every function - like it's having an internal debate when you use the camera, or navigate the menu, or start a function, or want to send a text/mms;
                      Good speakers but: Sometimes the ringtone Slows Down and distorts, even when volume turned down;
                      Good camera but: very low refresh rate on screen gives 'wobble' effect, slow focus, pictures come out w a distinctive red tint bottom right hand corner, and because of navigation and focus slowness, don't think you can take those impulsive shots, and quality actually only average against K800 and very poor against Sharp 903s 3mp cam;
                      OK mp3 player but: the most amazingly fiddly and easily tangled earphone set I'd ever had to use (its like a lanyard).

                      Average usage also means a daily battery charge.

                      Seriously, the specs looked just fantastic on paper and that's why I got it, but living with it on a day to day basis is a bit of a lesson in frustration - especially if you're moving over from a SE. I wish I'd gone for the K800 now - camera the same, but better cam functionality and Faster.

                        This is one hell of a sexy phone. But that's it. It looks so good and everyone wants to buy it, but why.

                        The navigation sucks and so does the camera. You cab get a much better photo with a SE 2mp phone. I bougtht this phone and my little brother has a SE W810i. And when we make a picture, there is absolutely no difference.

                        Now I am the proud owner of a SE W880i and I don't feel the slighest hint of regret.

                        So when you buy this phone you should really consider this.

                        Ciao

                          crash crash crash - that's the phones most common feature - most terrible phone ever owned.

                            this phone's bluetooth does not connect well with an Audi car kit. You will be able to make and receive calls but the phonebook cannot be accessed by the car kit. Also, for some unknown reason the bluetooth connection is sometimes dropped. I also have a Nokia 6230, and I must say that the 6230 bluetooth works perfectly with the same Audi car kit

                                to Roberto,

                                Can u reconfirm your posting. Are u refering to the model N73I or the firmware Nokia N73 (1).

                                As far as I know, Hong Kong already has the N73 ver for WIFI which is N73I. Since u bought yr phone there it may seems to be so. Thus yr problem with updating maybe.

                                Else, try what Ali has posted earlier and please do backup yr informations as update with erased all phone memory. Also during update do not get yr phone disconnected.

                                Would be nice if u could indicate yr Country. good day.

                                      Hi folks!

                                      I tried to upgrade the software today but I was told that my model was N73-1 and it wasn´t possible to do it. Anyone knows what is the difference between a N73 and a N73-1 (bought in HK)? spec: type RM-133 Model: N73-1. Please help! Thanx

                                        I love this phone but when are Nokia gonna let us have Animated Wallpapers like on Sony's and Samsung's. Thats the only thing left off that I need apart from WiFi.

                                        Loads of phones have animated wallpapers/screensavers Nokia really should make this standard on all phones.
