I have had the N73 for +/- 6 weeks now. Freezes quite regularly. Mostly when trying to edit a video, when saving pictures. Not had a problem with sending sms. Quality of pictures are extremely exaggerated, colours are not true. I tried to update firmware to V3.0704 (as was informed by 'Tricia' in an earlier opinion), but Nokia software updater states that the version I am running is the most current (V2.0628) !
How do I get this new version?

                  hi guys,

can we make some changes in this forum? instead of keep telling this phone is good/bad, why not suggest idea on how can we utilize this phone since we have bought it.
For example install YBrowser can hide photo, install Blacklist can block ppl from calling us w/o they knowing we block them..etc

oh ya, i notice when i set the camera quality to the lowest, the quality of the image looks better/great.

                        hi jp

you should backup everything on fone to memory card, on top of those already on card.

once firmware is updated, all things are wiped out, and you should find ur fone funtioning faster with no hangs

@ Shayn, u obviously havent used a K800, you would knw that the K800 is a Multi-tasking enabled phone, leting you run as many Games, Applications, Camera, Web Browser all at the same time u cn run 3GAMES 3APPLICATION, the Camera, the WEB BROWSER all at the same time or more, the fact is the K800 atleast has a Xenon Flash, sumthn else you have knw clue of is that K800 is runing the new Java Platform-7 with added supliments, it lets the phone run Applications in Wallpaper this is nw used by the TODAY SCREEN MOBYDAY which is a TODAY SCREEN meant for JP-7 phones and Symbians, BUT at the end of the day they are CAMERA PHONES!! thats the main focus! if you want music get a Walkman Phone, N73 an K800 are CAMERA PHONES!! CAMERA!!

                              Hi Ana,

i agree with what you say

"the slow response time for thecamera and an LED flash isn't good enough for me"

                              but not this

"I would choose the k800i any day because the software is more stable,"

you should know that SE also use Symbian, ( Symbian UIQ ), so if Symbian of Nokia is not stable, i guess it is coz they are putting too many stuffs onto 1 device, unlike SE.

Much has been said about the rivalry between N73 and K800i. I have to admit, N73 has an impressive look, great applications, big screen, long battery life. It looks apealing the the feminine taste as well. However, I chose the k800i for these reasons: in my country, Nokia Cellphones are very popular and, you have greater chances of getting robbed if a mugger sees you brandishing your nokia on the streets. between a Nokia and a Sony Ericsson, the N73 is a bit too big to fit in my pocket. I am a photography enthusiast. the slow response time for the camera and an LED flash isn't good enough for me. My friend's N73 takes about 15 secs to send an SMS. too slow for a sms freak. she had to install a software to speed things up. For someone like me who has a whole range of gadgets to use, not just a phone, I would choose the k800i any day because the software is more stable, better camera and smaller form factor. i do the document editing/reading with my pda. but, if you are a person who wants to keep everything in one gadget, this is the phone to die for. it's lightweight as compared to the older nokias, the screen is big enough for you to do presentations for clients with powerpoint, and the camera is good enough for general purpose photography. if this thing came with a stylus, you would have a pda phone. but, just leave enough memory space to avoid getting stuck. :)

                                    To Tsepz

Well K800/K810 der only Camera Phone! N73 is a Smartphone it has camera exactly as K800/K810 with Carl Zeis Lens. Also n73 is best for music (supporting wma.aacplus). on n73 u can install softwares such as windows messenger, real player, flash player etc n SE u cant.

So my question back to u Tsepz wat would u want a boring SE phone or a phone for Multitasking purpose? i can even play Sega Mega Drive games on my n73 :)
