To samur, thanks tried your link re latest firmware. Shows no updates available. But on checking my firmware its V2.0628.0.01 10.7.2006, which someone on this site suggested is not the latest? Even more confused!

I bought my N73 2 days ago, I'm pretty impressed with its features. I've noticed that it sleeps after about 15 minutes of being idle. Good, it saves battery. However, the light sensor keeps on blinking until you use the phone again. Its a bit annoying especially if you are about to sleep and the room is dark. Is there a way of how to turn the light sensor off when the phone is not in use. I would appreciate your advice on this matter. Thanks so much ......

The N73 to me is the best mobile out now an after sorting the upgrade out using www.nokiablog.com it really helps you sort the upgrading problem out,o.k you might not get the full music functions as the N73 music edition one but it improves your mobile alot,putting a Black full fascia on my N73 was a superb choice as silver an plum was the wrong decision by nokia,i have hadthis mobile 9 months an had no trouble at all with this superb mobile by Nokia

Hi, Just got 2nd N73, first replaced as stuck offline. This one freezes. How do I check I have lastest firmware, which presumably might improve performance? A bit of a technical novice!

I have read the previous postings here, and I hope I can help some readers with issues they have with their N73. First of all, problems with texting. If you press the bottom left hand key, you can activate predictive text. This means that when you type a word, it will automatically adjust the word as it appears on the screen. You can also add and edit words that are not already in the dictionary. For example, you can add your name, email address, plus any other missing words. Once you add a word, it'll stay in the phone's dictionary and you can use the word when needed, as the phone retains all new words it's given. As for running speed and lagging, there's a great program you can download to your phone that helps it run much faster. It's called operamini and it's great. It's too complicated to explain, but if you download it, you'll be able to see for yourself.

I got the N73 Music Edition and i really love it but there is one problem. Do you know how to get that green theme that N73 ME is advertised with because i like it and i can't find it!Also if i can get any ringtones or other stuff because my phone has nothing.it only has the things i downloaded.Pls answer quickly!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i upgraded 2 months ago to an N73, since then i have had 4 versions of the same phone, the fist kept freezing, i was told software problem, so i changed it, the new one the bleutooth just decided to stop working, went back to vodafone who said software problem, another new phone and then bluetooth and freezing together on this 3rd one, fourth phone came along and this just worked incredibly slow and then bluetooth decided not work AGAIN, eventually i had enough and swapped for phone that works(KRZR huge difference but its small(er) & works perfectly), excellent phone, excellent features, perfect pictures just too many problems and phone runs slow when trying to multi-task, if you can put up with everything then this is an amazing phone, just be extremely patient

Hi, this program apparently works with mp3 format only. Anyway most of the tracks are in mp3 so it could be applied prior to loading to phone. As to assisting tracks u could change the format to mp3 then transfer back to phone. Dotsis has lots of program for this.

Everytime I type a msg rediculous incorrect words come up time and time again that i always have to change. classic example is when i want 'u' to come up and 't' always does and it must be changed all the time. anyone know how to preset a word so it'll come up all the time?

n73 over n93
if ur after of better video recording, and WiFi, then u go for n93. but if ur up for photos, and smartphone only, N73 would be a very good choice.

been with n 6680, 3250, N80, 6233, and Moto v3x, but N73 is by far the best phone i got. surely its camera got the "wow" factor though if you want details, k800 should be ur coice. but i love n73, and can't live without smartphones.

Hi, Actually my fone was in coma(i.e in offline mode)for one month and I tried all the possibilties to repair it.Even the Nokia care centre refused to repair it. And there was no update available for this fone . I tried many times with my 2 computers (with window xp and window2000) ,but no use....one day I went to my friends house She has sony notebook ,when I was preparing to check the updates and I did on my fone ,it was working before connecting the notebook.....I dont know how it happened... she has wifi internet connection ,may be something happened with wifi...after that it was working absolutely well,but I was affraiding to use this fone.So ,with NSS I changed the code and upgraded it and now absolutely there is no prob with the fone except the battery life and little slower... new version is

To Jagtar,
If I'm not wrong u had quite a bit of problem with your phone. Have the software upgrade rectified them. Recent posting seems to mirror your problems. Maybe u should advise them.
With regards to your question, i just speculating, maybe Nokia had the hanging problem solved by having some inbuilt program running behind the scene, likethe N73me whereby the music player is on all the time. That maybe the reason why your battery is down 20%. I still find that N73 battery usage time is still very good compared to others.
Anyway, which version are you having now.
