Hi, me (Singapore),

Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution (EDGE) or Enhanced GPRS (EGPRS), is a digital mobile phone technology that allows for increased data transmission rate and improved data transmission reliability. It is generally classified as a 2.75G network technology. EDGE has been introduced into GSM networks around the world since 2003, initially in North America.

Can't answer yr question re no more problems for N73 in Singapore. I still see lots of prople @ Nokia Centre with N73. I did post here for Singapore users for feedback but so far not many has done it. So I can only speculate that most likely these are new user who has brought them the for initial firmware update. Hopefully their problems are solved.

I tried updating the firmware 2 days ago but result is my phone had the latest. Well, today I tried and the latest version is available for update. I updated it and everything was fine. The version is :

As to converted movie from DVD, with the help of sea breeze another regular of GSMArena, I manage to have them converted and downloaded them to the phone and played using Smartmovie/Divx player. I find the quality good and sound great (like surround sound). Can't give comment about comparison with SE w950i.

Refer to earlier posting the did mention quite a number of sites you can get downloads. Most of the anti-virus program are still not cracked, thus there is a limit to usage. Hope someone can let us know otherwise.

Finally, what do you mean by " nokia N73 ME soon to be from s'pore "

    Dose Anyone know if we can install the Operating System in N73,i.e.Like computer,format the hard disc and install the window.Thanxx in advance

      My N73 hangs on me a gazillion times already. It also auto switches off. I am using a 512MB memory card and it reacts rather slow...This is my second Nokia phone in 3 months. The first was Nokia 6280. I am so disappointed......I mght just switch to Samsunhg

        To john that want 2 know where i came from..I live in malaysia,just above to your country.Thats why i ask you have you ever go 2 k.lumpur,and J.bahru...But my friend have use that wifí mini sd card.Idont know either my friends lie 2 me..If that exist in this world how much it cost?Ok bye nice to know that i have anew friend from s'pore.

          this phone seriously is darn good ((= anyway, i am just wondering if there is any other website other den dotsis for me to dl my smart movie? not the player. i want the movies themselves. thanks.. new chinese OR english ones will do=) movies. thanks v much

            to those who bought in singapore N73 ME. Does it comes with 1 gb card or 2 gb card ? heard from my friend that 1 of the service provider only provide 1 gb card. thanks for reply :)

              hey are the local service provider (M1,starhub,etc,etc) already have the latest software installed..
              plus wat are edge class ?? not too sure bout this.
              also,is it really true that the software have been totally tricked out with no more problems ?(am in singapore)
              plus,when challenged,SE W950i and this play video. say in same format. will they be on par or will SE w950i emerge superior ?, plus can this phone handle .avi files,mpeg files etc,etc ? From the thread i know there is 1 DVD converter thingy. to those who have converted,how is it man ?
              alas,where u guys get ur software from. example will be firewall. cause currently my computer has some virus. am afraid that while transferring songs to my cellphone, the virus will be transfered along also. thanks for reading my doubts,looking forward to reading ur replies

                  After sifting through E V E R Y possible option, it seems that the N73 is going to be my next mobile, apart from pretty much hating how it looks, could a brilliant "techy" out there answer the question about how to add WiFi to the N73??? If not, what other mobile would anyone recommend if you want a quick 'smart phone', with an excellent camera and easy & quick upload to one's laptop (in order to back up contacts, emails, photos & videos)?

                      hi, iv looked at loads of comments and i cant see my qu. Im thinking of buying this phone really soon, just wondered (its probably a really stupid qu) but ppl keep going on about not having wifi, does that mean without it you cant send e-mails? and wot does wifi do to improve the phone? if it can send e-mails can you send them abroad?

                      any advice would be really appreciated.

                            Wow! Its the wonder i was waiting for well in my opinion its the best nokia set and best from each and every set because first of all there are some categories like apps songs in (mp3,mpeg,aac)downloadable games themes softwares and internet. well these are the basic things most people look for and its the first set in which every facility is given in its best form.And the main thing is it camera. its camera also takes hte pic very clearly in FUL darkness and try it out. well this is the best . and its a worth phone in an affordable amount.

                                        Proud owner of N73 Music edition. . So far I have no problems with it . . i think the camera is more interesting in it than the K800i and the music player is also decent. . the great thing is its easiness in Pc connectivity, it is very fast and easy with my laptop. . it comes with 2gb minisd so no tension for extra cost. . .the display is very smart and smooth, change the light sensor balance to maximum to enjoy a bright display. .though the operation is little bit slow but it can be considered. .the phone looks classy but i am not sure about the joysticks longetivity. . . i am happy so far and hope that it runs well. .
