also, does anyone know if there is ans application to lock a folder or keep a photograph so that it does not get displayed in the gallary.

does the N73 in APAC ( singapore ) region have new updates? i just updated not too long ago only, and new updates come again? it is so troublesome to update by DIY method over the net

Hello All,
I bought the N73ME about 2 weeks back and every thing is working fine. No issues.
Now I have one small issue, I installed a theme but it is not compatable with this phone as the scree size is large. Let me know how to uninstall it.
I tried the following two methods:
1. Goto->Settings->Themes, scroll to this theme -> press 'c' key. Nothing happened
2. Goto->Settings->Application Manager-> This theme is not listed. So I'm not able to remove it.
Has any one of you come across this problem and how did you resolve it without formatting memory card?

To your question.
I'm using a 1gb mem card now it flooded till 850mb. Got lot of stuff inside and glad that phone still working in perfect condition and speed.
games like war games, soccer, and action type play smoothly withour lag at all. install office suite and now I could edit my documents and print them any time/wher I want no problem.
Will be getting 2gb card, just tried from a card borrowed from my friend it work great no different at all from 1 gb card.
By the way I load a program to keep the led light on and working like a torch light, slightly dimmer so as to protect the led light. N-Lite.
Yr firmware seem outdated, maybe U should check with nokia @ yr country. Later ver should be the 3 series not 2.
Keep in contact any new discovery.

If the N73 Hangs the you have stuffed the phone upto its gills with programs and stuff.Always keep some space forphone function.Otherwise hanging is bound to happen.After all the phone is running on a symbian operating system and is virtually a computer.Its honestly one of the stablest of the N series.The N80 was so bad,terrible pic quality coz of no autofocus, very bad signal even in strong signal areas, hanging even though the phone was empty, slow processing etal! I had it and exchanged it for a N73 and am so much happier now!

I've got no problems after firmware update. Phone working perfectly. I loaded it with a 1gb mem card and I've flooded it till 850mb. Going to try putting in a 2gb card.
Just a brief summary of what I had on my phone.
Pictures - 200 items
video (various length) - 15 clips
songs - 200 tracks
themes - 20 items
document for office suite usage + 20 files
applications (excludes those already on the phone - 8 programs
games : 15 titles
Documents are kept at moderate size to ensure quick startup and browsing. Even normal pc would be slower if document r too large. I had office suite loaded and now I could edit & create documents. Just the other day while @ a lunch with client. I discovered one of my spread sheet need amendments, I had this doc. in the phone for quick reference. All I did was call up the doc. did the relevant changes and there doc. fully amended with new results straight away. A letter in connection to this also needed amendment, to bad file not loaded. All I did was get wordprocessing type a new letter on the spot and there done. Not adviseable for long updating cos keypad not ideal for such purpose. Got to office, sent both docs. to printer and all done.
As for applications, I had handy clock to see to the alarm functions. Most importantly repeated alarm. Had LivePVR for voice rec with no limit recording, FScaller to get outgoing & incoming calls to show almost full screen pics of contact, smartmovie to convert some of kid program into this phone, a prog call NTouch Lite, it turn on the led flash light to become a touchlight, very hand in dark places. I even send out a flashing SOS signal if in trouble.
Games was played at normal speed with no jerks or time lag, I tried call of duty 2, brothers in arm, 2006 football, lego starwars all work well
Hope, this give an idea of how this phone can stand up to the daily challenges.
I think U should get Nokia ctr to update yr firmware to latest. Then maybe your problems no problems anymore.

Grt Fone although i hate nokia and think they are just boring and monotonous wid their fones... this one is kick arse!... recommended A+

Myke,
SE has the walkman range i.e model with W.
K series is not. So ask yrself can the sound be any better than this N73.
Like what we always say here, don't compare these two mdoel, cause K800i is not in the same league as N73.
Get a Samsung Digital Camera, if I'm not wrong the latest model plays music too.

i need a suggestion really bad people. this phone or k800i?? i heard this phone lags too much.... if i want a good sound mp3 quality and a great great photo results, will i get dissapointed if i pick k800i?? please reply... thanks alot.. ;]

I that case (made by nokia)u must ask from the shop where u buy nokia n73.
