Read some very interesting posts. I got my N73 a few weeks ago on 3's X series Silver and love it. Had a few problems at first when it didn't recognise my sim card and then when it did would give me Error in Connection after ten or twenty seconds when making calls. I sent it back and after three or four days got it back with a note saying it was fixed but it didn't take my sim card still. Sent it back again and got a new one sent back after a few days. With this one so far no probs. Can't seem to get the Flickr service to work though and the Mobile Mail application seems pointless as I have Opera Mini and my Gmail with only a few clicks. The full browser is great but a bit slow so I usually use the Opera Mini. As to the question about receiving Word and Excel, I could with the 6680 and it has the same software so I don't see why not. You can't edit them though.
Other than a few small gripes I love this phone. I hope the slippery joystick doesn't fall off though and I will be complaining if it does. Downloaded a few basic themes from Ownskin.com. No Icons but does change clock appearance and battery and network bars. Oh yeah, one more gripe, when connecting to my PC to store photos, with the 6680 it would only recognise the new photos and with the 73 each time I connect it wants to store all the same photos again and again. This is a pain as I want to save some photos on the phone but don't want to copy them on to the PC every time I store new ones.

M using this fone from 2 months and now from one week it is not coming out from offline mode.....even nokia care centre refuse to solve this......So, m sendding this fone back to the seller

physically this fone dont have any problem, the problem is the symbion software.......and till now they dont have any final update or any patch to solve these all problems......big harrasment...till now no worth to spend money on N73...

how a joystick in an expensive fone like that just came off not to mention with no abuse????iam really scared from buying this fone

Why are the stuff rec'd via bluetooth in the inbox and not simply like previous version of nokia hp.
Is it something new ?
My phone when purchased showed the software version and model as N73 (1), but after ugrade of software the model became N73 (11). Now my Nokia PC suite does not recognised the phone, even with the program from the CD that came in the package.
Something funny all happens, whenever I invoke Music Manager, the prog pop-up then disappear. This happens with the latest ver 6.82.22.0 When I tried with earlier ver 6.81.13.0 an error msg appears then have to close prog.
Can anyone help me, been fiddling around for a whoe day without success.

Asian users goto ownskin free nokia themes & download the lunar new year theme. Its quite outstanding.

Never put N73 in offline mode.... u ll lost ur fone... till now there is no software patch from Nokia to solve this problem....Nokia must release this patch A.S.A.P..Otherwise this model ll be dead.....Mine is dead from one week.........some other persons have also the same problem

Its scary reading through all the posting right ? Did U get the phone or thinking of getting one ? I was in your shoes while I was making a decision if you have not got it.
Look around @ all the other phone on offer now. I got N73 for S$289/- w/2 yrs contract from Singtel abt two weeks back. I think right now M1 is offering for S$389 w/2 yrs contract but comes with a canon selphy printer.
@ this kind of price what other phone can compete. K800i, get that if photos taking are your only concern. Don't you dare compare with N73. Is just like comparing a Korean sport car with Ferrari. Both may look good on the outside, just try driving them. The winner is as clear as daylight.
Thus, after going through all the posting, decided to take a dive into N73. Till now, when to Nokia service centre once, to have the radio volume increase & to get the latest upgrade.
To answer your question, no phone is perfect. There's bound to be some problems, glad to say the Singapore version of N73 is not as scary as what others are facing worldwide.
Read the instruction manual carefully, don't be bottom ichy. Understand that this is not just a normal phone, its also a mobile computer and a 3.2 mega camera with editing functions, slides show viewer as well as a mp3 player. Bum up the music a little if you think its volume is too soft before load onto the phone. Don't be like scooby-doo.
Also, for a guy with big fingers like mine, the keypad suprisingly is ok. Just get a hang of it. As to the joystick, play games with your gameboy not with N73.
I was truly amazed by N73, the design, picture Quality, night shots came out super, the screen clarity & especially the muvee function (don't know what this is, get the phone and find out yourself). The processing time is ok don't expect too much, leave some room for improvement.
As in all smart phone some problems are still there. In the meantime enjoy what you have.
I did not regret and I would think is the same for you. Don't let some ppl scare u. Get the phone, I would say that everybody would gather roung you to view what u have taken this Lunar New Year.

I have the same problem.I called to Nokia care centre , they dont know about this problem .......... today I called the store where I had bought this fone ,they told me to sent back the fone...... This means fone is dead.
U can try *#7370# and format the fone memory, may be this ll help u.....

Theres a antivirus software called F-Secure.Antivirus installed in the Phone.
u can transfer files to PC or Laptop using USB cable.A USB Cable included in the sales package.
U can view or edit office documents(Word,Excel,Powerpoint).I'm not sure about that send & received office documents via
E-mail.But U can send & received via Bluetooth,IR...

Does anybody know if Nokia N73 can receive and send office documents (WORD or ECXEL)that are added as attachment to an e-mail?
What is the maximum size of a WORD document (kb) used as attachment to an e-mail that can be received without any problem?
How does such a word file, that is recieved by e-mail, appear in the display of the phone?
Can this file be transfered to a PC or a laptop in order to be edited by WORD?
Is there any anti-virus software suitable for Nokia N73?

I purchased nokia N73 before 15 days..i face one major problem in it
that it when ever i try to install any of the .sis application , the error is displayed that your phone is not supported..

Arjun,
Try checking that the number only appears in one contact. If it is in more than one, the symptoms you describe occur. (Didn't happen with my Nokia 6210. Progress!).

i sync my N73 Music Edition with my computer outlook. all the contacts have come, sim is empty so all is stored on phone memory,however when i get calls, only the number displays with no name being shown even though the name and number exists in the contacts. what do i do?
