I had the N73 and i must tell you this phone is not worth the money they ask for it,
A lot of problems with it the keypad is one of the worst keypads there is, it does not feel good at all and you can hit wrong numbers by mistake there is no space between the numbers they are to close together the keypad is to small.
It takes a long time to start up and it hangs a lot when you are going through some menus it can be very slow at times, the loudspeaker is very bad it sounds like a tin can the loudspeaker is no where as good as my 6233 that i have, i got this phone thinking it would have been a really good phone but i was very disappointed in it
and i got my money back i all so got it because it had s60 and i could use some applications with s60 so i will have to stay with my s40 nokia 6233 for the time been.

The window on the front cover cracks easily. be very very gentle with it. mine develop a small crack when I was cleaning it with a cloth

guys, i've upgrade my version to v 3.0638 last week. But yesterday, i've reformat it by pressing *#7370#. Now its running fast...
Cool guy...can try it.

Hi, m trying to update my N73 software but this stucks only on "searching a phone". My fone´s problem is that it has been hanged in offline mode,now I cant change to any profile and it is in offline mode.Any help please....Thanx in advance

don't worry it will happen without fail sooner or later.
mine survived a whole mth without problem. Did not do any settings adjustment or anything at all except normal calls,sms,music & camera functions.
Still without fail it happen.

I agree. The N73 music edition has little no problems at all for me. It hasn't crashed once or hung once.
Perhaps it's the old version of the N73 - ver2 or whatever. The Music Edition comes with the V3 software (latest) and perhaps better stability fixes.
As with any technologically advanced cell phone, in its early stage of release, it will have bugs and crash, just like Sony Ericsson. So don't complain.

hi all..
n73 is such a great phone, but i dislike the joystick function. heheh.. and to make it worst, scrolling only can be performed by using joystick only.. no other way to scroll... hmm expensive price!!!! but still i love my n73. and still no probs with its apps and hardware.

Get the N73ME edition, its software is more stable and have not much problem. Those who are having problem return it to Nokia service centre and problem will be solved. Upgrade to the latest software, buy only Nokia authorised sets.

re to jagtar: try updating it's firmware (if you did it before overwrite it by updating with the same v. of firmware). if that doesn't fix the problem take it to the service,or more simple go to the store from where you bought it and have it changed;it takes less than taking it to the service - there you have to wait a few days before they figure out the problem,fix it and send back your "umts quad band terminal" 8-}

M using n73 from 2 months, it was working almost fine till now. this week It hangs 2-3 times and today I put this in offline mode and now it is not changing the profile mode to general or any other mode:I took out battery , changed the sim card , did orignal factory setting,etc etc many times,but It is still in offline mode .The error message is" unable to change the profile" Any help please....
new problem:-
now when I change the profile it crashes and restarts automatically but only in offline mode.All Other functions r working well.......help please

Hello all, I just bought the Nokia N73. I've been figuring out how to skip songs through the headset given through the package, is it possible to skip songs through the headset? If yes, plssss tell me how to.. Its driving me up the wall trying to figure it out.. Thanks a bunch!! :)

hi ppl. i've noticed that the camera hangs most of the times because the mechanical shutter fails to open again after you take a picture and save/delete it.so my guess is that this problem won't be fixed quite soon by nokia via firmware update as it's a more mechanic issue (prey to God and hope this isn't the reason - let it be software). also nokia could have used higher quality materials for the phone,as you would expect at it's price. otherwise it's a damn good phone.

I m using N73 for few months, hang few times and now is all right, not having any prb. Those who having hang prb, maybe can try to refresh, i mean off and on again your N73 everyday, it will reduce or even minimize chance going hang :) , cheers

to n-series doubt.
n91 has a better more durable joystick than n73. n73's joystick is slippery, and worse, breakable.
