The N73 is the best phone to get now,the k800i is not a good looking or easy phone to use ,the cameras as same or better than the k800i ,the keypads are easy to use eithen that they are small ,the slide for the camera is a lot better than the k800i,the joystick on the n73 is alot easier than the k800i,an the constuction of the N73 looks an is alot better than the k800i,the memory slot is a bit hard to open but the cards for the N73 are alot cheaper, after having both phones the N73 is the best mobile to purchase right now ,WELL DONE NOKIA you can sing your old song again at last with the N73 SIMPLY THE BEST BETTER THAN ALL THE REST as the N73 is SUPERB !

To Centrino
i havent bought the phone yet, the price is without gurantee and i dunno exactly about the card.
the price is from Al Qateef Electronics in Deira. I have bought cell phones from these ppl for last 3 years.
Also i would still like users that r having software bugs to post their firmware version.
i think 2.0628.0.0.1 is the best uptil now.

sony k800i or nokia n73?
k800i has a better camera and a bright flash like dedicated cameras but n73 is a smart phone. Both these phones are expensive and for the k800i the ms micro card will be very expensive.

my nokia is a guarantee one not the blackmarket
I have problem with my N73 its seems the camera application often to crash (hang),
its usualy happen right after hit back button (to get back to camera mode after reviewing the picture ) or delete reviewed picture to get back to camera mode (in camera mode not gallery mode).its happen at least once a day !
I already try to save the pic in phone memory because I think the problem is my 1 gigs memory but still the problem occur, my phone memory still empty so I think its not the causes, my photography habit is normal ( taking a pic about 20-50 times a day),my theory is it because of the lack of RAM or its buggy firmware or its just ME ?? anyone experiencing same problem as me ??
I already format the phone the mini SD even I used back my original mini SD the problem still happen !!! I tested it without any program in the mini SD for a whole day still the problem happen... duh anybody experiencing same prob ?

Points of consideration i guess is that though the K800 is cheaper, but the memory card selling at cutthroat price.
I also don't see much complaints about the bulging lens cover of the K800. Is it just me or is it really disturbing?
Also, heard the N73 has louder sound (ring-tone wise).
I guess the K800 would win in terms of night-shot (which N73 from my opinion isn't that bad). If one's really going for superb night shots, these integrated camera isn't a really good choice. Even those normal Digicam users normally have to buy external flash to get to that 'excellence' in night-shot mode. And also, I read the xenon flash is only capable up to 1m. Also the K800 wins in terms of simplicity and speed due to its non-symbian attribute; again, the cons is that w/o symbian, some things can't be achieved (like reading documents; but you may say who wants to read documents at such small screen? Some ppl do it often). The battery life lasts a bit longer than that of N73. I would say SE make better quality and better-looking headsets (can also get a third party one for N73, but won't be able to make calls with them though). Looks-wise, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Personally, i feel K800 looks more professional and N73 more playful and cheerful. Ladies would i guess tend to prefer N73.
The keypads for both are small due to their relatively large screens, thus not much comparison though i heard some users complain about N73's cramped keypads... Don't know about that.
As for the photos taken, (aside from the night shot i mentioned above), I believe the picture taken in comparison where the purple flower looks fake when taken with N73 is because it was taken in 'vivid' mode. Nice feature, but not at some places.
Finally, about buggy softwares, both phones i heard have some issues, but no major ones i guess. Like the N73, SOME of users (minority) complains about the phone hung on them and dropping calls. Don't know that Nokia... Hopefully it's gonna get figured out soon or had already been. As for K800, the clock showing big when small was selected and vice-versa, it would surely be rectified in the next firmware update if it hasn't been done yet.
I tried to be fair... Its up to you finally! Peace out!

Being a devoted SE fan, I was looking to buyig the K800 but it still hasn't been launched in S Africa. After reading about the N73, I have realised that the N73 would be a better option for me and also the fact that the memory card for the N73 is much cheaper and more easily available. Sorry to all SE Fans but it looks like Nokia are back in the game!!!
