Great phone. More tha 2 months and no peeling yet. It has freeze just twice in 2 months (is normal in any phone when too much things are done at the same time). Excelent external sound. Good radio signal just happens that it can be heard just when it´s plugged. No complaints at all.

Ive had this phone for less than two months..i saved up and this phone...but only after one month the paint has started to chip! As days go by, the paint chips off more and more...its looks so bad..DONT GET THIS PHONE..its a waste of money..and has a crappy camera!

Hey!
I got my original N76 back from Nokia original repairing center. They replace new housings and update the software. 'Free of charge' as my phone is with Nokia Care agreement.
About the new housings, no problems yet after 2 weeks of use.
Software version was the same what I was using before repairing so no change to software problems.
I notice that V30.0.015 software was released some days ago so I made an update to that and notice that there is also some unpleasant features on that. After pin code input, if you close the flip once phone is still starting, the whole system will be jammed and there is no any other way than take a battery out from the phone and restart that again.
It is so funny to read these stories here about the how nice and good this phone is. Internet is full of pictures and comments from disappointed users how bad this product actually is. Use 5 minutes your time for this kind of study and you can realize how big mistake you are going to make if you buy this phone.
I can send you a photos and video clips by an email from software bugs what I have found until now from this unit as well as hardware problems what this phone is having.

can anybody guide me how to install the softwares with SIS extention. Most of the mobilephone softwares come with SIS extention i.e filename.sis. its camera is bit greenish and silver coated parts are peeled.

Ok guys ! what i can see ,many people experienced problems with this phone but well, i used the N76 since one month,there's no problem till now,no chrome peeling, no software error,i think that it depends on the way you use it coz this phone has not been made for sporty teenagers and careless users,and you must buy an original unit made in finland witch comes with a better casing to avoid chrome peeling coz nowadays we can even get nokia made in china but its not printed on, don't trust those on which you can read "MADE BY NOKIA" and don't buy units that cost half and sometimes a quater the price of an original one,the N76 actually on the market worth around 400USD

i really don kno wat to do with the chrome peeling and my camera is also not working properly it gives me a kind of greenish image really dissapointed
i just spent thru my nose tats it

the coated silver part is not good... it always peeled byitself.

Once it starts peeling,it peels all the way so guys prevent it, coz it wont peel automatically unless U scratch it or use it roughly.

my phone always suddenly restarted on its own. sometimes, i already composed 2 pages of SMS and it hangs. and the SMS is not even saved as draft. chrome peelin g as well..

omg! my phone just broke down n i wantd to get a new one. after some research on internet, i decided tht n76 is great but after all these horrible comments, i think maybe i'll give it a second n third n fourth thought! lol.

I have bought this phone.. about 2 months.. but it never gives me any problem.. chrome peeling? No!!.. software issues? No!!.. so if someone there would like to buy this phne.. CONTINUE PLS.. it is really great.. 16 million colors screen!! very ideal.. and it is really great to hold.. when you close it.. it is super elegant.. my friends have bought their own units of this phone.. and whats more impressive is it's.. MUSIC QUALITY... Very crystal clear.. and no problem with battery.. umm.. what else..
OK.. pls.. this is a very very good, two thumbs up phone!!

ghassan u r damn right the same happens to me i've been waiting 6 weeks for my phone 2 be fixed bcoz of the silver thing ... huh still saying the parts didn't arrive i swear sony ericsson is 1000 better than nokia

i really am impressed with the features of the n76 but nokia seem to have forgotten not all users have great vision. is the font size in this phone changeable? or do they have the so-small-can't-read font size/
