the sim card not reading is because you should try wiping it (the gold part) on a soft cloth

This phone is not only notable for its stylish slim design. But also it is a feature rich smartphone. It's not officially XpressMusic branded but its music capabilities beats even the explicit music phones out there from that lineup, even the N95. Look at this. It's got got the latest Symbian OS version and fastest processor (369 MHz), 3.5mm audio jack, dedicated music keys, latest Nokia Music Player interface, Stereo Bluetooth profile, and even supports the latest 4GB & 6GB microSDHC cards plus the upcoming 8GB one. So this phone, N76, is clearly a great music phone, even greater than the 5700 XpressMusic, N73 Music Edition & N95. The N95 has all the music features of the N76 and edging on its dual stereo speakers, but the N76 has better audio quality through the 3.5mm jack which clearly proves that it's music capabilities is it's selling point. As I've mentioned some of it's advanced multimedia and smartphone features I may not forget to say that it's all packed in a very slim and beautiful package.

i bought tis cell 3 mth ago,i'll bougth tis cell b'coz of d design moderm & elegant oth no comment.Starting using so far no any problem coz i only using for calling, rec cal, sms & camera only...Unluckly after using 3mth nightmare comming,
1)when using more than 1 mth, my cell sometime will automatic re-start, button no function ( press d button no respone & i need to off and start again ) .
2)d chrome peel off....very seriously
I'm very dissapoited of tis model cell & until now i oso don know how to using d cell's function...=< i'm now decided change other brand like sony erison i think will much better than tis cell...

Do not buy this product, you are going to disappointed to this phone.
Software is very unstable, even latest version from that. It will crash randomly, especially SMS application is having some problems.
Chrome coating is peeling off after 1-2 week use.
Camera functions are having some problems and sometimes you simply can not take pictures even camera is on and you can see the picture from the display. Software issue once again. Do not start to use camera straightly from the camera button, go to phone menu and start camera from there. Works more stable then.
Battery life is hopeless short. My phone was sold by 2 batteries. There might be some reason behind of that...
I could continue this list for many other problems what I have had with this low grade product but I'm going to stop to this now.

NOKIA SHOULD RECALL EVERY N76 IN THE WORLD BECAUSE IT IS A PIECE OF SH----T. They should be ashamed to have such a product on the market. I have been complaining for 3 weeks to NOKIA in the middle east and they are sleeping overthere. If my phone was bought in the USA I would have SUED and WON by now.....Chrome peeling / phone reboots after a call/ phone will not stop ringing untill you remove the battery...I would like to pursue this against NOKIA and will never buy another NOKIA again even if it's FREE.

I sometimes get a blank screen when i want to take a pix with the open fold mode and the camera wldnt snap..can someone pls tell me whats wrong?what do i do next time i get that?

ive had this phone for about 5 months and the silver just started peeling yesterday and the phone hasnt been working for 3 days i dont know whats wrong with it. it turns of every 10 seconds and i have to turn it back on its so annoying, anyone know whats wrong with it or what i should do?

My black model has the chrome of the sides peeling off!!!
When I turn on the phone,the service provider on the phone says that there is no sim card and works offline automatically!!!
The camera looks like it has something looking like a blot blocking out a small part of my photos,even when I put it to the maximum pixels of 1600x1200.
The flip produces a creaky sound when I open it!!!
I also cannot change the theme...
What should I do now??? Pls help,someone!!

I've had this phone 3 monthes. The chrome was peeling off. I gave it to the warranty service. The new chrome parts had peeled off one month later!!! So I brought the phone back to the shop, and became my money back.

why the color selver of that phone is aesy to remove i use 3 week the color is chance the color red ok is not change in my opion is not ok to buy

this is the best flip phone out don`t believe what they say about the chrome comin` off because i had this phone for like a month and it still looks new. The only problem i have with this phone is not able to use most of its functions like the gps and ptp and others so if you know how do use em please email me and explain it... thanks

this phone is good but battery life is bad . i think if you carry that phone N76 is working good for you .

the n series nokia phones now adays have very small fonts, i'd have to put on my eyeglasses everytime i read my text message. i have been so interested to get an n95 but the fonts' size couldn't be changed to larger ones, can the font size of the n76 be changed to larger ones?

trust these guys when they say that the silver part peels off.. just wait til yours peels off as well.. i never even dropped my phone. not once since i bought it.. but the silver part just peels off without even so much as a harm to it.. i swear nokia really pulled a bad one when they manufactured this phone. so far, the phone, the unit is okay. its it in tip top shape for me, just dont drop it or its gonna get laggy... and the silver part!!! it peeeeeels!! beware.. be careful.. so just get it g-masked or something of the sort.. ciao... or else youre getting a lousy looking phone sans the red part or black part
