I've had mine for 4 mnths, no problems. Just upgrade your firmware to V30.019. Never had a better phone and the pictures is better than my old N70

opa, 11 Nov 2009hi guys! i hav N73 and k800. i want to upgrade one phone. ... moreI would suggest u replace n73 with n79 because new firmware so it works fast and 5mp camera,auto rotate, navi wheel,changeable Xpress covers and also comes with a 4GB card.These feature are good and i dont know if you have noticed but nokia n73 lags a lot only plus point is that sound is much louder but sound quality is better in nokia n79 so overall go for n79 and replace n73

Awesome phone for the price. It has everything that you are looking for in a smartphone. And if you add some of the Google applications such as Google search, Google Map, Gmail, and YouTube you will not look at other phone for some time. Google map is just unbeatable.
Go for it. You will not find a better phone at this price with all the features you want.

The NSU does not work properly for the phones purchased in India. Since the product code is 0577234, we are stuck with v11 firmware :(

Guys how can you say this phone crashes? Update your firmwares. One of the best phones in terms of stability is the N79. What FM hanging are you talking about.... I use every single feature of this phone and I never got a problem (Very very rarely). FM radio never ever hangs. Only problem I encountered is with the theme changing because of cover problems. Just disable automatic theme switch!

Well I had this phone for over 2 months now and I can happily recommend it. There is not a single scratch on this thing, which is by the way the first time a Nokia doesn't get ruined with everyday heavy use. So build quality is awesome, no doubt about that. Firmware is very stable too. First time again that I forgot the last time my phone crashed.
So on the long run, this is definitely a really nice device.

Hi friends, I bought this phone, its good but i m not satisfied with camera quality and sound quality, and keypad is not comfirtable in my fingers, and some time it hangs up while opening the FM radio, I don't know what happened, can any body tell me that how to resolve this issue that it hangs up while opening FM radio, waiting ur responce, thanx

i hav N73 and k800. i want to upgrade one phone. ... moreWell, hipotetically speaking if both of your current phones has no issues, faults and so on, I would keep the N73, bigger screen, good camera, symbian etc. As for your other query, the c901 has a better camera with xenon flash as the k800(?), but an 2 inches screen? which in my opinion is pathetic for an image centered device. The N79 is a good all arounder but as gsmarena's review clearly states, the camera is not his main element.
I suggest you to have a closer look at both phones at your local store if possible.

Mharl, 11 Nov 2009I just bought this phone a week ago. So far so good but wha... moreThe photo and video editors are inbuilt and no download is required. You just go to the picture gallery, select the pic or video you want to edit and press options and choose edit. The video editor is good coz you can insert text, and even merge videos or add soundtrack. Picture editing has many many editing goodies like frames etc.

Anil, 10 Nov 2009Hi I am also facing a strange issue. My n79 is vibrati... moreI found out the issue. It is due to auto theme change option. Since back cover is loose, n79 is auto matically chages to the theme deafault for the black back cover. once I desabled this option, issue got resolved.

i hav N73 and k800. i want to upgrade one phone. i'm thinking of getting a N79 or C901. i want your honest opinion on what should i get (and which old phone should i discard). can we have the pros & cons of both phones relative to each one?? by the way i'm more on photo/video and speed. sounds? i want all percussions heard!
