hey frnd i am not a user of N79, currently i am using SE W910(really upset after compared it to 5310XM).
My sis now using N73 black edition it sounds pleasure, i surely said that N79 also had stereo speakers so sounds good and new 6720classic also had stereo speakers, it sounds fantastic...
So surely N79 sound rocks u really.....
I am waiting for 5730 review, after this review i want to ditch my SE W910...

I wana buy dis phone, bt i have 2 unanswered questions.
1. Is the memory only expandable to 8GB, or can u use a 16GB or a 32GB memory card for that matter?
2. Can u upgrade(buy) da battery to 1500mAh?

may b u are really confused about firmware updates.
Firstly u want to know that, daily millions of nokia users update their firmwares and no one gets crash.
If u are afraid to update ur firmware thru ur home pc then just go to nokia care and they'll help u lot buddy..

i want to buy a nokia phone @ Rs.15000 - 17000 range.
features required to me are good camera with high video quality, hifi music player & FM, gaming, video calling via 3G[cellone user. need a hardy set as i am very careless/rough user. got in mind N79 & 5800 xpressmusic. plz give a gud guide- as different reviews are confusing

i ws first shocked to knw d latest price of the phone as it hs everythng in it and is really excellent value for money..........battery gr88, keypad gud just 1 day and i got used to it.....display gud....camera gud....it lags a bit smetimes but aftr fw update it hs stabilized a bit.....hs lots of important softwares in built.....music quality really awesme.......plus tv out too........wat more cn u ask 4 a 14k fone wid 4 gb card two extra covers carry case smartfone, wi fi gps, 5mpx cam, long battery, fp2..........its a really gud fone

some people give opinion even they havn't used but actually i am telling u truth currently i am using N78 which camera result awsem but one major problem with this set is keypade are not good that's why i want's to buy N79.

N79 is available in india for 14.5k?
but i'm confuse after listeing to it's reviews..?
btw if it is such a a bad phone den why the voting results are 8.3/10?

1st thing, this phone is very very slow!!!!! it takes ages to zoom a picture and worst, viewing the picture is a pain in the @$$!!!!, it takes more then 10 sec for the picture to clear up and wen zooming the picture, its takes time also to clear up, very ver dissapointing,
2nd, keypads are very hard to press, you cant type as fast as you want, when you press haed, you tend to press the wrong button, very very hard to press and very very stiff!!! if you are a fast texter, not recommended,
3rd is the worst thing!!! camera is a crap!!! its the worste 5 mp camera in the market, some 3 mp camera are even better, pictures are blurred, very very noisy, colors are messed up, you cant even tkae pictures of moving objects, pics will be blurred, setting doent even have adjustments for exposure value, sharpness, contrast etc like w/ n95 8gb and n82, its a crap, you will regret buying this phone, im selling mine now.
alternative phone to chnage to n82, still the best 5 mp cam and speed is amazing
n95 8gb phone also super fast and great pictures as well
n97 if you can afford it
n86 some say its a nice phone, you might wanna try it

Pls, can anyone tell me if I should Update the Firmwire of my N79. I'm afraid to do it cause some people told me that if i update it, yhe phone can crash . Pls some one should advise me on updating my software. Havent updated it since the time i baught it. That is Last Year. Pls Reply. Thanks

its an awesome pone, just gets hanged in b/w sumtimes n is a bit slow. but its worth it

However in a bid to keep the phone Kareena slim, Xenon is discouraged, as its electrostatic capacitor eats up enormous space. Hence the LED flash. However recently, the high current LED flash, needing slim-thin supercapacitor is in vogue and a good answer to the Xenon flash. It is not clear whether in N79 regular low current 'lantern' LED flash is there or the recent high current LEDs that may soon replace the Xenons.

It is quite user friendly, has excellent video quality and the camera is good. However, just for 40 Euros more, you can have N85. Only problem of N85 is that it does not have perfect legibility in sunlight, which I think, N79 is a clear winner. So, in short, either N79 or N85. Let me know your decision. maxven_08@yahoo.com
