Is it sounds like the speaker of the N73.
Is the speaker of the N79 is loud or not.

Menon, 28 Jul 2009Even if we set the image quality (for still photo) to the h... moreThat wasnt said that the image size would b of 5 megabyte, but if u see the options clearly u will see that it is 3M,5M which means 3 metre and 5 metre, so if u print out the image in actual size u will get the posters of 3 and 5 metres and i think 1 mb is enough for a good quality and by the way if u shot at landscape mode usually u will get about 2mb size of image, thanks

Hi,
I just bought my n79 yesterday and I noticed that it doesn't have N-GAGE application on the main menu and it's sub-folders. Is this something new? There is a free N-Gage game that comes with an activation code in the retail box. Nokia service center here in the Philppines is saying that N-GAGE is not part of N79. Pathetic isn't it? Can somebody please help me. Thanks

@GT: never had that issue, but check your phones available memory, if your firmware is 10. I would recommend upgrading. Make a complete backup of your phone with nokia pc suite and hard reset your phone. If problem persist call or send your phone to a Nokia center.
To uninstall themes got to 1 menu,2 application manager 3 installed apllications, and search for the file and uninstall.

Even if we set the image quality (for still photo) to the highest (5 MB size), the image size comes only upto 1 MB and the quality is pathetic.

Very good phone.
Build quality is pretty good, no creaks, peeling offs, very sturdy.
Excelent reception/call quality, no dropped calls.
Screen size is adecuate considering the dimensions and weight of the phone.
Keypad is somewhat flat and upper buttons slightly cramped but no big deal.
Camera is quite good in favorable conditions, night shoots are useless though.
Sound quality is good but lacks some bass and higher volume level.
Gps, Wifi, etc, work like a charm.
Battery life is remarkable, can stand 3/4 days of moderate usage(3g)
My only two gripes with this phone are, the music player freezes while skipping song(unplugging headphone usually solves this issue, weird) and the slowness of the phone at handling photos.
I recommend disabling transitions by turning themes effects off to improve overall responsiveness. Handling photos is still slow.
Overall, this is a very solid, stylish and compact candybar phone.
I recommend it highly if you like no nonsense phones.

navi wheel is cool and themes and the back case, fm transmitter also a plus, i wish it was faster and camera is a lot better,

regretable phone, very very slow, zooming is slow, picture take 10 second to open clearly, zooming tkaes ages, picture is horrible, i regret buying this phone, im selling it now, im going bak to n82, best phone of the year 2008

Hi can enyone help me i have an issue with my messeges. A lot of times when i send something it would say "Messege Editor! Already in use!" what the hell is that!! Its pissing me off and i feel like throwing the phone against the wall. Do you guys experience the same thing and if so how did u fix it? Please help...as this issue is getting very annoying.

This is a very good phone overall.
Build quality is good, it's stable, has good camera(useless at night though), very good battery life.
My only gripe with the phone is that music player freezes while skipping songs. Unplugging the headphone usually brings it back to normal, weird.
"Transitions" slows the phone down, so I recommend disabling theme animations.
All in all, it's a solid and nice looking candybar phone.
Highly recommend it.

be prepared this phone is slow. cant keep up with your fingers so if you're one whos impatient i wouldnt recommend it.
the music player freezes as you fast forward / skipping songs. (i read some reviews saying it freezes the phone itself and they had to literally remove the battery to get it working again, mine's not as bad, only crashed the music player but it still runs at the background, there's no way to stop or exit, if you're reading this and know how to close it please let me know cheers.)
apart from these two problems if you are ok with, its a good phone afterall. although keypads' a lil stiff (cant type at full speed!). but i love the fact that it has 3interchangeable covers. tried taking afew shots with the 5MP and the pictures are really refined, great quality.

My impressions of the phone after a 3+ months of usage:
Reception-Call quality; very good, no droped calls, signal issues etc.
Build quality: overall sturdy, no creaks or signs of peeling off keys etc.
Keypad: slightly flat keys but good, upper buttons are somewhat cramped(especially menu & delete keys. Took me one week to get used to it.
OS-UI Responsivness: The phone is overall very stable and responsive."Transitions" slows down the phone considerable, turn off themes animations and voila!
Music player-sound quality: sound through earphones is quite good but volume could be higher(its good for me), stereo speakers lacks bass and volume is good/average(got spoiled by my brothers ageing N73!)
Connectivity: all works, gps is good, wifi works like a charm, no complains etc.
Camera: good, can take quite good pics with favorable conditions but has some noise issues.Night shoots are mostly useless. Video recording is good aswell.
Battery: very good, with moderate usage can last 3 days. It can stand heavy usage for 1 to 1.1/2 days(this is on 3g only)
Conclusion: This is a true all arounder phone.
If photography is your main concern, then look somewhere else, this is only a good "cameraphone"
There's no perfect phone in my opinion, and this is a great candy bar-non touch mobile phone.

I got my N79 on Friday, and all I can so is that this is the best phone ever! it's awesome and does everything, and does it all very well!
It looks amazing.
I love the keypad, easy to press and no clicking sounds, the navi wheel works well although the dpad itself is a bit stiff.
My last phone was a 6220 classic and was great apart from the case which creaked horribly and buttons were flimsy.
I know it's not the newest phone out there but it looks stunning and works perfectly.
Really happy and couldn't recommend it enough :)
