Go to Messaging and then select Options->Sim Messages. Basically the icon is blinking because the messages saved on your sim are unread! Either mark all of them as read or delete. This should get rid of the flashing icon.

Plz help me guys, i have using this phone 2 days and i have 1 poblem! -In the home screen i have the message icon blinking on the top right corner and i cant remove it. I allredy tried evriting but without sucses!! (i have no messages in the phone!)

I'm tossing up between the N85 and N79 - apart from the obvious slider vs candybar, what are the differences? What would you recommend? The features don't seem all that different.

Iv read many reviews, watched videos but cant experience hands on cos no one in th high st is selling the n79. The 'Nokia Shop' finder doesnt work. Q1,is the keypad ok 4 quick texters? Q2,Is the ambient light sensor a prob? Q3,Who is reliable UK seller? Q4, Nokia dont sell spare Xpress-on covers! Where to buy them? Q5, How quiet IS the ring tone? Do u miss many calls? Thats it, hope someone can help!

hi! just got my N79 yesterday! well, it's the best! I had used nokia n70, n73, n78, n81, n82, n93, n95c and 8gb! well! I think this is the best N series so far to sell ryt now! the size and features are all just perfect! So grab one for you! It's absolutely perfect! ^_^

zeebu, 07 Jan 2009my fone is facing problems with the camera. in the nigh ti... morethe orange dots can b deadpixels which was a ghost which haunted n82 for a long tym.or it can be a problem of color rendering.
Whatever it is have it checked by d nokia shop u bought it from.
@Guy:
u might be activating powersaving(it causes light to go out in 3to 4 secs).deactivate it by pressing the power switch and select the similarly named option from the bottom of the list.

n79 fb2 transition and animation is really magically attractive
that made me always love to use the phone
the n gage is perfect even without h/w accelerator
the camira is very good but it will be better in the incoming firmwares because it is a software matter.
