The problem number one is I think a particular bug for your unit. SMSs never cause hang on my phone nonetheless I have a problem on my set too.:)

Rahul, 21 Nov 2008I have bought N79 couple days back. I had N73 which has got... moreN79 pwns what SE offers in their recent music solutions.No offence, the SE phones provide excellent sound quality but this time Nokia with their FP2 Devices like N79, N85 and 24 bit audio chip boasting N96 win over the all. If you spend more money on HPs from SinHizer, Sony, Shure etc they can drive this rig even better.
The camera is IMHO, the next best one the N82 (which has Xenon flash). I took a picture at night with the dual LED and the picture was vivd and detail.
The phone has best software stability among all other Nseries phones, I heard few people have their N79 freeze, hang,m restarts etc but I thing they are very few and even if a SW upgrade will fix em all.

So i thought I will never go for N series which has software problem. But unfortunetely I did the mistake again and took N79. The sound quality is good enough in N79 but I would suggest go for Sony Erricsion phone they offer what they promise. N79 again has lot of software problem which freezes when user try to forward or go to next try. It freezes so badly that you can't do anything except removing the battery. Camera is worst than any other phone even though its 5 Mp can't even compare with 1.3 Mp. One more problem with real player sometime it doesnt play video it shows blank screen only sound comes out. Nokia N series Model's Sucks!!!! They should kicked out of the market. Waste of money taking N series. If you take my advice dont buy Nseries phones even.

I'll be honest, my N82 speakers were horribly quiet!! But since I upgraded the firmware on Nokia's website its Loud as anything. It also makes your UI rotation more sufficient...

wait till nokia releases this in black.. lol.. why dont they just release it in black in the first place and let everyone rave bout it? maybe they wanna show us how ugly it can be and then do that? marketing strategies.. bah.. :P

Has anyone read the review. Its very positive. What shocked me is the audio quality. Its basically the same as n96. Does this mean it has a dsp whose volume is restricted by the software restrictions?

N82 better than N79, no doubt. Better camera and better video. Xenon flash, 8 Gb in box and TV out cable too. But N82 has too soft speakers and is far too big. So I am willing to trade a better camera for smaller size, louder phone, and good looks. And N79 has video light which is really great. But would like to have a look at Samsung Pixon before, just to be sure

1. whenever an sms com... morewell i solved the second problem by myselfd!actually i installed folder lock or something like that! thats why it used to hide stuff from galery! now i have 8uninstalled and every thing is fyn!
but cant fix the first problem! plaese some1 help!

2. my captured pics are not stored in gallery!
i can find them in file manager but not in gallery!though they are saved in album! and in memory card!
some1 please help!
