Ive been a SE fan for many years and I have the K850i now, but wow! To me this phone is one of the best lookin'. Clean white exterior with good software and a good camera. Very nice.

Does anyone know when this phone will be out in the UK on O2?
I have been calling O2 and they keep telling me its not out yet, someone below said its out on o2 on 10th November, can anyone confirm this??

Udaipur, 06 Nov 2008I brought a new phone for Rs. 21000 and Message sign keeps... moreu have the very 1st firmware on ur cell, there was an update for it in october, so the temp fix for it is (until u get the latest firmware)
- either disable voicemail, or
- set your phone's network to "manual" to prevent it from picking up foreign networks and starting to roam when you're getting close to the border. Of course, that won't work if you're going abroad as you'll have no choice but roaming.

Good phone..hope they will release update soon.
Got some minor annoying problem:
1. doesn't vibrate when its in silent or meeting mode.
2. Blank screen when locked.cant make it to show clock or anything permanently.
3. call register will be wiped out if we restart the phone
4. accidentally deleted my n-gage and cant find a way to reinstall it back.

to nokia:
please, do not put silver stuffs on your phones, i hate visiting your care centers all the time just for changing my phones ext. parts due to discoloration, wearing off of the paint, or any anomalous happenings on the ext. parts of your phones.

Dude, you'll have to wait for bout 6 months or more for them to perfect their OS bugs. And ive heard that this s60 9.3 os is still on beta. Although symbian had announced their 9.5ver of thier s60, i guess it will never be knew because 9.3 had this dvh tech. On other feature packs.

Dan, 06 Nov 2008From what you have said, it doesnt seem like a serious bug.... moreno...appart from that bug ( which i feel will be dealt with in the next update ) there are no other bugs or problems i have faced yet.
Its a flawless cell phone :)

At least you can always unlock the phone to view the date, time etc. (at least with this bug you dont have to restart the phone like most other phones). Are there any other problems you've encountered with the n79?

Anonymous, 06 Nov 2008what is back light bug?i ll explain the scenario, you set the screen saver as date or time or pics slideshow to be run when ur cell is on standby. so far so good but as soon as you lock your phone the screen goes totally black ( in power saving mode ) so u cant see the bar for time, date as screen saver. hope u understand what i said :D
