Nokia should fire all their lazy and tardy software engineers! What are they doing? N8 has been released almost 2 months already and they haven't released the first firmware update yet that is supposed to fix the bugs of this current beta firmware. A lot of N8s around the world are restarting, freezing and refusing to switch on. Nokia should adopt Android if they can't implement proper software for their phones. Believe me Nokia, you are going down. You are already losing market share. iOS and Android will soon take over your spot. And it's your fault.

If u dont want this light in Menu button them u can switch it off following steps.
Select
Menu->Settings->Phone->Notification Lights->Breathing Light->Click on the on
If u wish u can again switch it on by following the same steps but istead of on at last step off will be visible.

Anonymous, 06 Dec 2010I'm sorry, what planet are you from? Symbian was the first ... moreI have no idea about your planet....
I used Fring for Skype video calls on N95, because I could not find how to do this with Skype app for Symbian.
There even a discussion about Symbian video calling missing on Skype at Skype forums with last posts dated as late as few days ago!
I have no comments about N8. May be it is in short supply or a great phone. It is not what I am talking about.
Many old apps are not ready for S^3 with some features not working after release date of N8 which clearly demonstrates 3rd party app developers' certain neglect of new Symbian platform.
As I also mentioned earlier various service providers seem not to have Symbian apps in their development pipeline. I am not talking about stupid apps. I am talking about useful apps and useful services which I would probably want to use on a mobile phone platform rather than a laptop.

Anonymous, 06 Dec 2010It is better to grow. A new breed of applications for S^3 a... moreI'm sorry, what planet are you from? Symbian was the first platform to get video calling on skype. Months before android. I've been making video calls with skype on my n95 8gb for about a year if not more.
Nokia has gotten over 500,000 registered developers since inception of the ovi store. Quality apps don't get made overnight. The apps are coming. There is no reason why they won't. Especially considering the current shortages of n8s all over the place and that symbian is by far the worlds most popular mobile os.

Sails, 06 Dec 2010OVI store seems to be gathering speed at ridiculous speed. ... moreIt is better to grow. A new breed of applications for S^3 and S^4 is needed urgently and it is necessary for Nokia to do something that companies get back to developing for new Symbian. The current range of applications is becoming increasingly limited.
I am becoming increasing worried that many useful service provides omit to mention Symbian. I see iPhone app, Andriod app announced is coming soon, and no mention of Symbian.
It gets ridiculous that Skype Symbian app has not been updated to allow video calls when all other platforms allow video calls. With Skype disabling Fring bridge video call feature disappeared from Nokias.

OVI store seems to be gathering speed at ridiculous speed. Now 3.5 million downloads a day. It was just 3 million 3 weeks ago and 2 million back in september.
Pretty awesome growth and I think people should stop wondering now if N8 is selling well ;)
