sometimes when the call is in progress if i do not lock screen and keys from options the just by the touch of face or ear on the screen the cal would drop.please suggest solutions anyone?my email is captainasad73@yahoo.com

All n8 users if you want the best quality of your camera remove the plastic cover from the lence.

That is why I have to use a Task Killer to kill apps in the background. Back then when I do not have a task killer, I once forgot to kill some apps and it ate 40% of my battery in like three hours.
I also have to root my Captivate and underclock it so it will run at 100 MHz when idle to prolong the battery even more. It's a PITA to get my Galaxy S to run properly and Samsung isn't doing a good job with the updates. The community does a better job at fixing the Galaxy S than Samsung itself.

I do miss that great screen and all the eye candY . but i was bored with it . Yes android is great but i was tired of waiting for 2.2 which it never got and still not availabl in India . I amvery happy with n8 now ! I get great battery backup . Its simple to use . And awesome camera , and yes os not as good as android but doesn bother me coz it does the job pretty well . Actually when it comes to os my galaxy was only good for browsing when compared to n8 . The rest of the things are either equal or n8 is better . Will continues with n8 till i see symbian 4 or android gingerbread .

Neto--I went to the file manager and to the sound clips folder where i have kept all my music files.but still there was no option of sending through bluetooth :( How do you send songs via bluetooth to other cellphones using the N8?

put it in the... moreI have a Galaxy S Captivate and while it's a nice phone, I would not recommend it to my friends. The battery life is really bad and I have to underclock it when idle, install Juice Defender, and use Advanced taskiller. I do not want my friends to go through the same experience and I am now getting bored of my Android device.
I know the N8 got excellent battery life and the OS doesn't need a powerhouse processor to run great. I just wish Nokia will come up with something that will bring customers back to the N series. I wish the N9 will use the CBD AMOLED with insane DPI around 326, have a modern UI that's customizable, open and extremely user friendly. I do not care if they copy some aspects from the iPhone, Android or even Web OS. I just want something from Nokia that will wow us again. Palm was able to do it but unfortunately, their hardware sucks and they ran out of cash. Nokia on the other hand got great hardware and lots of cash and I believe they can come up with something really good next year.

N8 is actually awesum ho... moreOLd nokia S60 devices like 6600,6630,n70,n72 etc. ran on Symbian OS v7,8,8.1.Thats why they were slow.Their CPU clock rate was 100~220.Even the devices with OS version 9.X run at an amazing speed.This device runs at 680 Mhz.

I got my N8 one week back and it's a very good phone.Nokia has certainly improved on the shortcomings which plagued the previous models.I have one question:How to send a song to another mobile using Bluetooth?When i go to the music player and click on the song it starts playing but in the options tab there is no option of sending the song via bluetooth.Can someone please help me out on this?
