Gitty, 27 Nov 2010How to register ovi music unlimited ?Gitty, you should have received an sms for ovi music store from nokia/ovi, if you already have an OVI account, you are required to log into ovi store with your ovi account and then go to ovi music, all the musci in the ovi music store is free for this handset

crazyT, 27 Nov 2010Guys I was a Nokia fan since...forever....but I must agree ... moreI have the same opinion like u but i have decidec for the following reasons for the N8...
when u compare syymbian with Ios or windows phone 7 u will see that symbian is much better in terms of functionality..symbian has real multitasting..good file manager... u can easy download free 3d party apps and can isntall the without jailbreak.... and much more
also N8 featres much more like hdmi.. better camera..
of course the User Interface is outdated but Nokia said that they will improve this with Updates...
These Updates was the main reasons to buy the n8..
so the N8 will get a new candy browser.. New keyboard layouts... and the whole UI will be developed..

STILL NOT IMPRESSED, 27 Nov 2010Nokia stubbornly develops the symbian OS in a evolutionary,... moreGuys I was a Nokia fan since...forever....but I must agree that the Symbian OS is outdated(even though os 3 is the newest).I've put my hands on an HTC Desire, or Samsung Galaxy S or Apple iphone 4, and the look is just SUPERB. Now I am in the process of buying a phone and I am clueless. I would want a Nokia N8(i still think they are the most reliable phone on the Earth), but the visual effects provided by the competitors destroyed my "belief". Maybe an advice from you, what would you recommmend ?

many people judge on phone before using them. (e.g N8 )
N8 is a great phone Nokia so far produced.
So please to all, before judging on any phone, make sure that, u have already test it then give your feed back. by doing this , you will help many people who were confused to buy phones .

RAM is not power, while playing videos,player is stuck. Sometime hanging .my phone made in CHINA.Not good quality.FINLAND MADE MAY BE SUPER.

I'll be having my Nokia N8 in a couple of weeks.
Anyway, I have a question. There's one UI that I've heard of that Nokia's using. It's MeeGo. What's the difference between MeeGo and Symbian? Is MeeGo better than Symbian or vice versa?
Another question. What does Qt have to do with Symbian? Will it do good for Symbian in the future, especially in applications?
Hoping for my questions to be answered. Thank you. :)
PS. I hope that the firmware update for Nokia N8 in the future will come earlier than expected, which is I think early 2011. And when they say updates, it should be really updates, especially in the UI, that would really step up Nokia N8's game.

Got this phone following my N96 with my Vodafone contract! Its my first ever touch phone and ive got to say its amazing.
Ive had no software/hardware problems with it whatsoever. The camera is the best ive seen on a phone and the handset itself is very pocket-friendly (unlike my old N96)
Its great for face-booking and e-mails, and the quality of the sound using the standard ear plugs is a exceptional.
The display is nothing short of crystal clear and the in-built sat/nav maps are a step up from the N96.
Now for the bad bits............erm struggling here! I cant really find any! But ill keep you posted (dont hold your breath)
Apple? Can you feel us snapping at your feet? No? Thats because were in front son! Nevermind eh ;)

Milos, 27 Nov 2010I just got my nokia n8 and I have been using it for a day a... moreHi Milos, the handset does not turn on Wifi automatically, follow this: GO to Menu - Settings - Connectivity - You will see WLAN - No networks found/2 networks found. This is because the handset is set to search and show availability of Wifi automatically. Go into WLAN, it will search for Wifi, after the search is complete, select options - settings - Show WLAN availability - Change it to no. Once you do this the handset will stop scanning for wifi networks automatically. This will also have a positive impact on the handse4t's battery performance. By the way i got my N8 yesterday and will post my reviews within a week as i'm a bit busy now. Hope this helps

MY N8 Camera Switch stoped working after a Month, also had a problem of battery draing sooner.I gave it to Nokia Carer center, they repaired the camera switch & For Battery drain problem they formated my Mobile & reinstalled it.
But after that my Web TV widgets wer Lost....I serched it in Ovi Store but in wane.
Also my Social Network Widget was lost, apart from that i have problem with social Netowrk...In Facebook & Twitter i see error on all the Options like update status, friend request, events....
Can anyone help me solve the Widget & social Network Problem.............????

I bought N8 recently.Eventhough camera is 12Mb,I m not satisfied with the quality of the picture due to a foggy background.Is it due to scratch guard??

I just got my nokia n8 and I have been using it for a day and a half and I can honestly say that I had no problems with it whatsoever! I have installed some applications and everything works perfect. I did not experience any hardware or software problems except that I couldn't figure out why my wifi was turning on, on its own. It turned out to be one of the widgets. I am very satisfied with this phone and all you haters can go jump. Proud nokia n8 owner!
