that's all and i'm waiting for the firmware update

Why do you say "only 3 homescreens"? In Symbian^3, there are 6 widgets per screen, or 18 in all, which is better than having 9 screens with 1 widget each. They might be on the smaller side, but they do their job. And there's always the real app.

Few examples...
There was a canadian, polish and indian guy talking here a while back how their phones were broken and telling each other how bad N8 was. You know how the posts show IP hash? Well apparently the canadian, polish and indian posted from the same IP. I wonder why?
Another guy was telling us how had just changed his trusty Nokia N7 to N8 and was so disappointed with the phone. Problem is, there is no N7.
And so on and so on...

And why dont you fly to japan and get yourself the SE soo6 then? Then fly back to your country and try to use your SIm card in it. Ooops i forgot, IS JAPAN ONLY!

Sails, 22 Nov 2010Even together those manufacturers don't sell as many phones... more ok u have got a phone that reADS THE MEMORY CARd well( i mean if there is 100 songs n8 will add another 100 for free while reading!) and a good camera..for only 22-23 k,,very good choice..:)

The camera on N8 is good example. It isn't just the biggest number on the spec sheet. It is actually the very best camera on a phone. Nokia spent time and effort on the sensor and optics, even though those can't be shown next to the price tag.
USB OTG is a really awesome feature. The new Nokia Clear Black Display is better than Super AMOLED and OVI Maps is the best navigation package out there.
N8 happened to be the only device out there that had properly programmed SD card interface, so that it could format cards Win7 phones trashed. Something even Windows PC couldn't do. You know why? Because Nokia does things properly. When the phone says SD card support, it actually means the full specification.

[deleted post]thank u for taking those names galaxy n i-phone..bcz those r the phones that beat n8 in every category..exept camera..n also they r very lucky who cant afford to buy(although the price diff of wave n n8 is "just" only 4k approx) or didnt buy n8..bcz some ppl also cant afford to use a 'slow n laggy fone" like n8..
and what phone will u use??A PHONE slightly cheaper but better or a phone having prblms n restarting n hanging now n then??will u buy the higher priced phone to show ur affordibilty only??:O
