It looks like most of the negative comments about the N8 comes from non-users. Again, before claiming something you must be able to support them with factual evidence not pure hearsay or crap.
Nokia's N8 rocks and simply the best Symbian phone out there. If you want more like photo-editing, louder sound, faster processor, bigger screen, more memory,etc then go and buy a laptop.
I find it it funny when people keep on looking for everything in a single device. Technology is humongous business and if a manufacturer will put everything on a single device then they're killing their own market by doing so.

Really, so you bought one failure of a phone (N97) and based on that you recommend buying another failure of a phone (iPhone 4). I don't think you should be giving advice to anyone. I recommend you go to a store and try N8 for your self. It is an amazing phone.

TMT, 22 Nov 2010i stayed with nokia for a long time....and after using noki... morei skipped N97 cause they didn'y put enough RAM and have a higher clock speed
but i did get the N900 and that still has to be the best mobile computer ever built
48gb in your pocket and now up to 64gb with every codec to play your videos a nice stand for viewing

i still love that beast my n900

i stayed with nokia for a long time....and after using nokia n97 i swerared togod that i wont but any nokia product........ppl should think about choosing iphones and android.
after using 3gs i fall in love becaz the os is so stable and app store is like freaking huge....and the motion games r awesome
and after using android i think ios is better but android is really cool on the cutomization department.
i dont think most of the loyal customers will buy n8 after what happend with n97...it was a freaking shit.ev en my lg arena is better {3rd set} than n97.

It came with broken GPS that took ages to fix and it has also suffered badly from lag since the beginning and even the new update did nothing to that.
Also, Samsung is by far the worst when it comes to actually supporting their phones. Most devices get two updates tops and they are usually pretty minor.

i have used xperia mini before my n8. I really think that symbian 3 is better, especially after i installed spb mobile shell. Browser is really bad, but i use opera mini, so thats not a problem too. I had enough money to buy an iphone, but n8 looks and feels better for my taste. I dont understand why people talk about their other brand phones, in nokia n8 forum, grow up,everyone has a different taste, and there is no 'perfect' phone. I am 39, i think the average age of the other phone reviewers is 17-18

Dont use nokia touch screen phones.. its really really waste. Go for samsung. Nokia has lot of bugs. And also features are very less. Phone il automatically switch off and hang up often. This happens almost in all nokia touch phones. Even a newly launched Nokia phones are outdated when compared to existing technology...

Guys, guys, guys... what's wrong with you? Lemme ask you something... You guys are telling that N8 is crap, right? Okay, let's assume that it is. You know this much that gsmarena only compares the similar kind of phones, right? (for example, they compared iPhone4 with Samsung S8500 Wave, Nokia E90 with Nokia 9100 etc.)
Then lemme come to the point. I can guarranty you, those who are IOS or BADA or ANDROID fanboys, don't read their own type phones' review. If you would, you would read the review of Samsung S8530Wave II. There, the GSMARENA team didn't bother to compare the BADA phone with N8, rather they compared it with C7 & C6-01, which, by the way is a C series, meant for cheaper units. And, as we know, Nokia N8 is far better than C7 & C6-01 (including camera, USBOTG etc.). So, its very much clear that the GSMARENA team didn't even bother to compare S8530 Wave II with N8, cause Wave II is very much out of N8's league. So, please, admit.
No, I said admit that you can't fight with N8, no matter what you say, N8 is far better than the IOS or BADA or ANDROID.
I admit, the touch response of N8 is slower than those, but, who's gonna die? If I send my message 5 seconds later, unlike you guys, I won't die. So chill!
And you talk about applications? I ask you, the applications you find in your stores, how many of them are actually usable in real life (those are very much usable if you are a small kid). If you are a small kid, a candy will be very much popular to you. But if you are a grown up, you'ld like to have a car rather than a candy. You can throw a candy faster than a car can move, but that doesn't prove that a candy is better than a car. Grow up kids, grow up. When will you learn?
If you guys aren't kids, why are you wasting your time over here? Why aren't you just visiting your own phone's threat & write there? The simple reason is that you are afraid that your phone is far behind than the N8. That is why you guys are feeling sooooooooooo insecure and are coming here to post rubbish. Please, go back to your own place.
I have told it before, I am telling it again. I am assuming that you are a well wisher, you want to warn us not to waste our money. But if I choose to waste my hard earned money, what's your problem?
