i have read all the opinions for the last few days and ihave decided to buy the n8. it is awesome...i have a mobile shop here...i used the xperia x10 then i phone4 and then finally n8. in bangladesh nokia does not supply the n8 to other outlet...thats why i have to buy it...honestly saying n8 is the best phone...

Amit, 12 Nov 2010any pointing thing, including stylus, will not work on N8. ... morelet me correcting you..yes it not working with ordinary stylus..which tip-end is sharp and narrow...but it working with stylus that big and bold-more are surface-like-tip-end ..of couse your tumb surface.

Its not slow gaya ng nababasa ko sa ibang comments. And the camera? wow..wala ako masabi. its fast and di masasayang money nyo..It even has usb on the go..wahaha. I got the black one..Yung batt pala nya kahit 1200maH lang..matagal siya maubos. Worth it bilhin...:)

Now Nokia N8 factories both in Beijing and Salo are hiring extra workers for assembly lines. The demand of N8 is much bigger than Nokia can supply.
Everyday there are faulty devices and goods out of factories all the over the world. It is not surprises if there are some faulty N8 randomly in the market. But you can not say all or the most N8 or many of N8 are faulty.

Even in Finland, it takes 2 to 4 weeks for orders. Next availability is early December.

Malaysia Zitron has stop supplying to dealers for almost 3 weeks already and i'm actually one of the dealer. Heard service centre said its due to too much faulty n8 return and nokia is working on it... Sigh But anyway, its a great phone for current technology.

Otherwise, it is a feature to save battery life by default.

But you can however decrease the sensitivity of the light sensor. Go to settings, go to display settings and select light sensor. Or do the low tech way, cover the light sensor with ur palm, lol. Anyways hope this helps :)
