I am not a liar and I never claimed that all N8s are faulty. Most of the N8s work fine. but nearly 1/5th of N8s have this restart issue.
If you dont believe me then I cant help. as i told you please search in google "nokia N8 restart" and check the nokia discussion forums. you will be surprised to see the number of people suffering this problem.
Your N8 works fine that does not prove that all N8s are flawless. It has issues. all I want from Nokia is to address the issue and recall the faulty phones.

Wait I 've found something ! I am listening songs and my phone is locked ! I am controlling music player with headphone's keys ! It is not restarting now as b4 ! I always operated the music player with phones touchscreen and It was restarting again n againg ! May b itz touch has problems ! :(

T Rex, 09 Nov 2010Thousands of N8 users have restart problem. thousands got t... moreHi T Rex.. I think u r big liar.. I have using Nokia N8 from 25th of Oct. Still this time i havent got any single issues with the phone. Its simply super and am not not able find a signle lag in my phone. Its fast and response is too good. I have a friend who is using Iphone 3G from the day it has been released to market, he also played with my Phone and said that N8 is good to use and he was not able to find a big difference between N8 and iphone 4.
I can say proudly that am an N8 user and its 100% value for the money paid. Finaly i want say about camera. Its stunning. I too suprised with the camera capabilities. Its really amazing.

I ... moreIf the phone restarts without installing new things after it got fresh firmware, it might be the firmware or hardware problem. Some firmware version seems more problematic. What firmware version do you have? You could also try different firmware version and see if it helps.

but itz still same,restarting automatically !

i like N8.
iphone 4 too expensive.
N8 has 12mp cam. and less price then iphone4.
