[deleted post]every phone has it's own issues, besides N8's issue is not that big problem. it is you people how are making it huge & big. it is a common software issue as Nokia is going to release new up-dates within coming weeks.
Symbian^3 is being improved & nokia is planning to make it powerful.....
So please, read before judging on anything.

I went to Bas... moreNo second thought, no hesitation, just nothing else, I am going to buy the Silver one even with my eyes closed.... :) Well & about the mishaps you are talking, it's only due to 3 things, 1st you shouln't install any uncompatible software,only from Ovi store,only for Sym^3 .... 2nd, you need to know in details about how to use it & 3rd, if u have bad luck,then what's the point on color,ryt?? :) Infact my frnd brought one from USA & I used it for a ling time without any problem & it was silver .... So see you too on 11/11..... But I hardly can't w8,still 4 more days..... btw,whts ur name & where r u from???

[deleted post]Hey Tanvir, which color are you going to buy? I went to Basundhara City yesterday. I used 2 N8s for about half an hour. They seemed perfectly alright. I used the lemon green and the silver white. No lagging, no hang. I used upto 5 applications. There were no more installed. They informed me that only silver, grey and green is gonna come. But another guy told me that silver, grey and orange gonna be there on 11th. I can't make up my mind which one to buy. Because I wanted to buy the silver at the beginning, but found that all the mishaps happened with the silver ones. So then decided to buy the black one. But also the orange is nice as well as the green one. So which one are you going to buy? Hope to meet you in Basundhara City on 11th. Take care. Byebye.

the problems in my n97 mini are
resistivve screen
no multitouch
no gpu
i have tested n8, it fixed all the problem i have with n97 mini, and much more improvement over software and hardware
very good phone for the mass market, very perfect harware, i wonder how can n9 can be lot more improved in term hardware compared to n8

browsing is the best, skype, yahoo messenger, msn, etc.. lots of tools, camera is good and video recording.
i love the widgets, u can download lots of applications
no hang-ups, fast...
playing video and music are very good...
the downsides are, bulky and heavy (but i love the qwerty keyboard), battery life, portrait sms (vertsms and fastsms) are not stable, but all are manageable..
i rate this smartphone .. near to EXCELLENT ..... i am very happy with it .. cheers ...

I am saying this with a rotten heart,
Nokia N8 Sucks...
I purchased it last night and since then all it is doing is Restarting and Hanging. The applications are not responding and is nothing but a piece of stone for me now. I am waiting for 24hrs, and later i'll exchange it with something else, probably Nokia N900.
Even the store's Manager is recommending not to purchase Nokia N8 and get something else...
So far according to the store manager, this problem is persistent in the Dark Grey ones, although not sure about others. Still the fact is THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH NOKIA N8 FOR SURE...

im very sad,i drop my n8 in the water and now dont work..very expensiv phone and dont work under water...dont buy this,bad cality,now ill return to my old omnia hd,much,much better

RONALD, 06 Nov 2010Frends if u dont want to believe then ok and if u want to b... moreThis has been said so many times. You can't just install every S60 app that you come across. N8 runs fast and smooth, but there are several badly coded old apps that can break your phone.
If your phone suddenly starts to slow down and lag, I suggest you uninstall what ever you have installed lately.
I've pretty much stuck to Symbian 3 apps from OVI store and my phone runs beautifully.

N8 is sent from heaven ..... :) Today I've used it,but one ques guyz, I found its brightness bit low than I expected from an AMOLED display...But there was sticker over it... Is it due to the sticker?? Will I get a better brightness if I remove the sticker? Any N8 user plz reply....
