How does N8 fair in the heat disspation and i am suprised that no one talks about heat disspation. Most of the smart phones gets heated up after 2-3 hours of intensive use.

Hows this for a anti-nokia site. Their review on the HTC DHD had a comment in the conclusion paragraph:
'Symbian fan-boys, please cover your ears, now: despite occasional lag, we would nevertheless take the added functionality of Android with HTC Sense coupled with some lag, over the all-in-all more stable Symbian^3 with its clunky interface and dated functionality.'
Simply put, they know that the symbian ^3 os is stable and yet they still put it down??? I'm sorry, i would prefer stability any day over lagginess during multi tasking any day. Symbian is not for lazy people who rather have a phone that is for functional in more ways than that of the oppositions. With a bit of effort the rewards of this os is more rewarding. I have a brain so symbian isn't for dummies but if you find it too hard, go for android or the like!!
By the way the n8 is much more functional than the android phones in hardware and software. May not be bling bling, but is way better in many ways.

I havew done 4 (Loudspeaker, speakerphone) comparisons between the N5800, X6, C7, N8.
Here they are:
Voice in (dB)
5800 is 75.7, X6 is 69.2, C7 is 66.6, N8 is 75.8
Pink noise/Music dB
5800 is 66.5, X6 is 66.2, C7 is 65.8, N8 is 66.2
Ringing phone (dB)
5800 is 68.5, X6 is 82.7, C7 is 75.9, N8 is 82.7
Overall Score
5800 (Good), X6 (Good), C7 (Good), N8 (Very Good)
That should sum it up. So Ketan is right, the C7 is just as loud as the 5800 during loudspeaker test. However C7 louder than 5800 when ringing phone ring tones go off.

I guesse the 5800 & X6 are a benchmark for newer Nokias to match sound wise not disregarding the earlier N8, 9 series either. Having two stereo speakers in practicality would undisputedly be better than one Mono speaker in reality without theory.
I'm currently going by Ketan's C7/5800 loudspeaker test. When I get mine which is probably going to be around 8 days est. I will be able to also do a test for people. I'm not disregarding other peoples hearing, he may have better hearing than me.
But I can tell the difference in quality, clarity, loudness, distortion, lower bassier & higher frequencies being a Music man. I will tell you the discrepancies between the C7/5800 once I get my hands on it.

The C7 is actually clearer with no distortion & the sound he couldn't tell any difference between them. I'm sure the N8 will be louder as the N8 rigning dB is louder than the C7.
It's all down to how you the individual perceives the loudness of volume & quality of the sound. I have a very sensitive ear & can tell the difference between suttle low or high freq, distortion in sounds.
Go & try them out in the shop, because following someone elses opinion & perception is not neccessarily what you might hear. You might be dissapointed.

Engineer Man, 05 Nov 2010For me the choice is between which new S^3 N8/N8 has the be... moreTheir is only one other fone thats up to date that can match the 5800 and thats nokia X6.All i know from me and other people is the n8 is as good as 1 speaker from 5800.The samsung innovate was preety good for me but had good tonal quality but i reckon 5800 thru loudspeakers on the fone is tops on all nokia s60 fones ive owned.
The loudest fone i had before 5800 was motorola E398 i think that was the model number,it later went to on to be first apple i tunes fone,that model back in 2003/4.The loudest fone ive had thru earfones which will make you deaf is nokia n91 and 60% is really hurting my ears.

i have mobile mania, i am using mobiles since 2007 from india, till now 84 phones are changed from various provider. I never had an experience now i have with nokia n 8, i am comparing with Toshiba tg01 1qhz processor n8 super, and all of u understand why nokia go throw with symbian s60 3rd edition for this phone is now all the professions like medical, engineer, and other profession the softwares of the phone was avialable , i install all the softare extraordinarily performing. n8-00 is the best bhone for the next six months, i have the certificate of my phone. nice to use handsof nokia

N8 as compared to 5800 will not be louder ... i have tested both but when using via headset , the audio output quality of n8 is better than 5800 .

i was monitoring ths forum for past one month ... guys bought ths beast on thus.. n i just wanna say. ths is a beast ... awesome awesome awesome awesome awesome all in 1 device.
no hangs , no freezes , no lags , music awesome , camera superb, if u knw how to use a phn thn thr wll be no prob at all.. ..
i give 10on10 .
no need of SPB mobile shell . ui is awesome . if u maintain widgets properly..
MAIN THING BATTERY :: i charged last nyt its abt 20 hours now .. still all sticks are thr .. usage : about 30 mins of calling . 15 mins wifi . n 15 mins of music on earphn. gaming 15-20 mins ..
NOKIA ROCKS .. LOVE my N8 . no matter how android looks or performs . mine N8 will be better thn ne of the samsung device on ne given day..

For me the choice is between which new S^3 N8/N8 has the best Music playback sound through speakers that can match my 5800 for a beneficial upgrade.
I know I'm baffling on about this. But it's one of those Make or break things for Me. The reason being why I bought the 5800 because it's a Music phone & I intend to play out Music aloud just as much as using headphones.
The new phone needs to have sound which is as good, as clear, as loud, as much bass as curent said phone.
Also Ketan has reviewd the C7 & says the C7 isn't quite as loud as 5800 but I have asked how well it matches the 5800. But I would like to know if anyone can compare N8 with 5800. Thanks
