Screen is not so good on this phone, is this another light sensor issue like Sony, even at max it darkens too much. Turning off sensors does not make any difference. Good through HDMI, not convinced it's as good as could be. Could not find how to change wallpaper, guess you have to select image then apply. Probably spoilt with Android phones, but even with the 'newer' version of Symbian it feels outdated. Great camera, but being honest as the screen is still only the resolution of say a 5230 or 5800 xpress music, feel that 5230 seems brighter and clearer. They should have doubled the screen resolution, maybe they could have teamed up with Casio who seem to be developing high res small screens. Sorry Nokia, not all that happy with this phone, keeping it because camera good, as a 'smartphone' it's not all that. Audio very good, image quality very good, but that's it.

The phone restarts whenever it detects that it might freeze. If it just freezes,as a user u can not just pull out the battery whenever u need too... Thats just the way the new smart phones operate...

why is it nokia n8 colors are not available in other countries?? is it production...here in the phil. the only available colors are black and silver/white?. SMART network owns the color orange wheres the blue and green???

Hi guys, I think Nokia did a great Job with N8, if you try to browse all the nokia phones this one stands out. why compare to other phones?? If you own a big company like nokia will you create a phone that will end your business?? they put few features because they want to maintain their profit.ex. iphone 4 provides us great and super cool feature and after that ?? *nothing* they will just release more on colors-iphone 4 white Thats it!
Phones are phones why waste time to argue on which is the most better...
Going back, NOKIA n8 has a cool features that attracts customer like me. the best is their uniqueness..forget the OS man, just buy a phone that suits your lifestyle...FOR PEOPLE WHO REALLY DONT UNDERSTAND business go and discuss other phones like inQ, ZTE, Vertu and you will find yourself deep in the abyss...

NOKIA Im so disappointed !!! How you can released phone after few mths delay and still many bugs !!! No option for Bluetooth sending songs.You put Bleutooth 3.0 in device and is useless in that case!

should i charge it 12-14 hours, then go for the 3cycles or just skip the initial 12-14 hours since i already missed it? please let me know....

is itive had nokia n8 for more than a week now and i can say that the web browser is pretty fast (my opinion of course) the only problem is that its not very fluid like the iphone, its as if the frame rate is low but keep in mind that this is not at all times.
also, they are going to release an update soon, so if you want you can wait for that first THEN decide

It's pretty fast too.
Main difference between Android and Symbian is not the speed, but app store, battery usage, UI and the standard features.
Some people like Android more, some like symbian more for their needs. None of them is better.

i think guys the best phone android phone be coz so very fast and smooth other smart phone n8 verygood camera is a 12mega pixel hd...but android create 12 mega pixel hd camera next year...ho the best smart phone or android feel the differents.....

I've always had N series and never had a problem wit any. I've sold phones for 4 years, sometimes i wonder what you people are doing to have probs with your phones. My N8 gets 4 days battery life EASILY. Why because i have a brain and charge it optimally the first 3 cycles. To the guy asking about cases, i got a soft pouch from www.nokian8cases.co.uk although you can get armoured type ones instead if you're worried about dropping it.
