Gitty, 04 Nov 2010I bought it 4m mobile store,phoenix mall ,lower parel ! In ... moreIf its Phoenix or Sangeetha or Univercell, it doesnt count upon. If you are not satisfied after paying 24k than you even have the right to throw the cellphone to his face.
Do one thing, sending mail is not a good idea nor phone this works. Simply go with all the box, cables, charges, mobile, bill and tell him that the phone has severe problem and you don't want this.
Ask for money back or replacement. Later tell them you wants to speak to Nokia technician or something.
Thats it Nokia technician will come and tell him about the problem. You will either get money back or new N8.

Or you can learn how to flash the firmware yourself. Download the software and firmware yourself. It is not difficult to learn. Many people flash firmware itself. But this is the last solution.
Try to contact Nokia care center first.

In the bill they have written that the once the phn sold,they wont exchange,replace or taken it back ! But I ve sent them an email asking to replace it ! I am so sad !

I have written here many times warning people not to install S60v5 software, nor third party software, unless they are tested and published for Symbian 3 by Ovi store, but it can still cause some problem. Don't install so many software the same time. Do it gradually and if something wrong, immediately remove it and it would not hurt so much.

it will till you your N8 is up to date, and will give you the option to reinstall the firmware
do that... should download firmware, then reinstall it on ur phone
hopefully it works :P... if the problem still persists, then you obviously got a "faulty" handset,return it, i own a N8, and not a single restart/freeze so far, been a week..

Gitty, 04 Nov 2010I installed many themes ,signsis & Xplore of N97 (both ... moreGo to the shop and tell them. They will give you a new N8 within 2 days. I did the same. I thought of returning N8 and taking Samsung Galaxy S but the dealer told it is not possible. Complany will be sending a new N8 within 2 days.
Hope the new N8 of mine doesn't dissapoints me. I'm very much confused with this decission. I must have gone for Samsung Galaxy S.
BUT still Nokia N8 is the one having all extra features that even Galaxy S doesnt have it.
So wait for the next firmware update. It might resolve all our issues.

Don't know why hard reset doesn't work. It should work. It seems something wrong.
