Bought this yesterday.Had the N97mini & Bold BB 9700,I'm a phone crazy guy,keep changing them every 6months,also had the E72.If you guys want a qwerty key pad then go for E72,its a great phone but if u want a good multimedia device,N8 is just awazing don't believe the bad comments.They are just some bloggers who are working for some other brands.

is it only me, snonre, n8 user, wheez and dan who is happy with the purchase?? i used an xperia before n8..its a good phone too, but this is something else.. much more applications in the market of android, but % 80 of them are useless, like, fart applications, ringtones etc.. never had a lag or restart.. i prefer to browse the web with my n8, than my laptop...

every company has its day.apple its running in its prime phase since 2007.nokia was running in its prime time from 2000 to 2007.time will change and as a nokia fan day is not far when nokia will rule on the smartphone market not by profits but by customer satisfaction and no of handset they are selling becoz they have best technology (nokia was first to give mega pixel in the camera,giving wi-fi,first qwerty keyboard in 9100,first to launch colour screen mobile,mp3 and video player,gps in mobile,first truly multitasking os for mobile i.e. my favourite symbain platfrom,launch linux based os in n900,and last bit not the least best camera ever in nokia n8 i.e. 12 mp camera beating the sony ericsson who is famous for making best cameraphone and digital camera,), and best brains to make innovations.apple provide only the touch.it is not developed by apple as touch screen phones were available in japan and korea at that time.
so nokia fans do u agree with my opinon?even the other company fans know that it nokia which provide what customer wants.
in the end its my humble request to all nokia fans that please be stand with nokia as the company is going through some bad phase,support from its fans will give company to remain innovative and to recover fast.we all know the capability of nokia what it can deliver to customers as i have mention above.long live nokia.

BTW, there is already a software update for the n8 which will fix the restarting prob

snonre, 02 Nov 2010i could also say that i have the iphone4 and galaxy s. My n... moreThe days I had my EX N8, it froze on me twice, reset itself 4 times and switched off a few times and for a handset that literally got launched! Not impressed! Hence the reason for returning it back to the shop!

Also users have to install the lagfix app in their galaxy s to overcome the lags faced in their phones. There's also reports from users saying that they are still experiencing lag even though they have upgraded to android 2.2

sukrsa, 02 Nov 2010I am using N8 for last 5 days. I am little bit confuse abou... moreconsidering the amount of your usage..i belive that battery life is fine...i used to call for 1hr..20 min web and 1hr music per day and easily clears 2 days with 20 % to spare...

N8 has SO many issues and bugs as it's so new that Nokia still hasn't really ironed out these problems! Hence the delays at launch...still not there with they're Symbian 3!

I am from India, i baught Nokia N8 on october 25th. I never had any issue until now with my n8 just hanged once that too while using the panorama caturing tool. My battery life is so good. even with heavy usage i complete 2 days with 30% remaining. 1 do 45-1 hr calls per day and 30 mins of web and 1 hr of music. Once i got complete 3 days. Software is very impressive in my standards. i dont like all the animations...For me the phone works for what i baught it for...calls..emails..web..networking...even games is so awesome that my laptop cannot give me the feel...

When you are having problems with phones/computers, the order you should check things through are:
1. If you miuse the phone in certain ways, and check your manual and learn how to use it properly
2. If you install some malfunction or incompatable applications that leaks memory or makes cpu busy loop and eventually will cause the phone/computer to behave hanging or restart or shut down.
3. Check if you have installed all the latest updates for bug fixes
Hardware fault usually is not so common and the least to consider.
