U have every right to be dissatisfied with your N8 unit, but you dont have to come around here and bash it multiple times. It might just be that ur N8 comes with the pre-release software, thats y you are having prob with ur unit. If you want to buy another phone is fine with you, but if i were you i'll be more patient since nokia is planning to release a new firmware which has an improved version of the web browser and the home screen features kinetic drag, even their social apps such as facebook and twitter apps has been improved. Flash 10.1 is also gonna be released soon for symbian^3. The CPU and RAM in the n8 is fine for me cause i had used a long string of symbian phones before (starting from the nokia 7650) and they are efficient enough for me and i rarely get the 'out of memory' msg cause i multitask moderately. Did you realized that the more you post, the more you sound like a troller and a nokia hater.

New OS is coming source: NOKIA FINLAND C SERIES,NSERIES still symbian OS, but N8 is the last symbian make it upadate for s4,s5. XSERIES->symbian4,5 N9->WINDOWS 7, ESERIES-> The first Nokia Android 3.0 gingebread 2011, N100qi->MEEGO OS, Nokia Tab->MEEGO OS.

Hi..... Am writing this from my Nokia N8!
Am usin it since 13th of this month.
Did not see any hang or lag on this phone.
About Battery life....i need to charge it once a day....may be thats due tom my widgets are on online mode, i have keept my 3 mail server's syncing every second, my network is in dual mode so keep's switing frm 2g to 3g.

Their location is such that you'ld almost never un intentionally touch them let alone scratch. Besides, they too are not painted. Plastic is black as opposed to being coated in it.

now trying out spb shell and it brings me straight back to my htc touch pro cause had spb shell on that.It works great altho another learning curve so may take it off till fully used to all the amount of gadgetry in N8.spb shell works like a dream on N8 and free for lite version in ovi store,the carousel is ultra fluent..The N8 gpu doesnt half kick and make is nothing and i mean nothing like n97.Totally loving N8 and now its getting symbian 4 updates..Playing angry birds on 40 inch tv thru hdmi cable then web browsing is so cool and its nippy due to gpu usage..

N8 users, can anybody pls answer me? I'm planning to buy this phone February next year. But I've got some questions first.
1.Is the Gorilla glass screen and anodized aluminum casing really scratch-resistant? I mean, even if I don't use a screen protector and jelly case it won't get scratched?
2.How loud is the single speaker compared to N95 or 5800?
3.How loud is the volume through the 3.5mm jack? Is it as loud as the N91?
4.Pls comment about the battery life under heavy use.

I couldn't really hope for any better specs, cos it would be off the battery life while giving me close to nothing in return. I may be special in that case that I dont need a super fast mobile phone, but just about nothing let me down in this phone.
I might discuss this over with you more, but you are putting words into my mouth, you don't believe that I genuinely am happy with those phone, Nokia or not and ignoring my origins. I still would buy this phone all over again, even if I was from Korea, USA or Iraq :D
I'm not gonna be checking these forums again for now cos the discussion is pointless like this, also I don't wanna be spending half my free time here anymore like I used to. And that has nothing to do with my satisfaction/expectations for the N8, simply that I don't have the time to fight here all day :D
