Hi. don't you know Nokia C7 has a secret Near Field Communication chip inside. Nokia has been known to randomly slip in easter eggs into their handset – e.g. FM radio receiver in the N800/Accelerometer in the N95.

Nokia will apparently announce soon what they plan to do with this ability. God knows, Nokia phones have always had great features years ahead of predecessors – but they’ve not really known how to take full advantage of it or tell joe public how awesome it is.

Database giant Oracle has launched a legal action against Google, alleging that the company infringes seven patents it owns related to Java.
Eric Schmidt, the CEO of Google, was formerly a chief technical officer for Sun Microsystems. Sun Microsystems was bought by Oracle.
The move is interesting because when Sun Microsystems was a separate entity it promoted Java as an open source option.
Google never formally took out a licence from Sun Microsystems, while Java is widely used in a large number of applications created by other vendors. The law suit will cause other manufacturers to wonder whether Oracle will start a patent hunt against them.
The move prompted the Wall Street Journal to remind its readers that Larry Ellison, the CEO of Oracle, is a friend of Steve Jobs, the CEO of Apple.
Apple considers Android to be a considerable threat to the iPhone and the Google OS continues to grow its market share as an OS for smartphones.

Anyway, old news is no news. As Nokia has just announced, Qt is going to be the umbrella OS. There will be no more distinction among Symbian^3, Symbian^4, MeeGo, etc. Just Qt. And streaming media is going to be HTML5. Adobe Flash and MS Silverlight will have competition in this. Rejoice Nokia owners!

Anonymous, 23 Oct 2010Let's put it in dis way, i used to be a die hard nokia fan.... moreWow, what are you, a collector of cell phones? Go to the sites of these other phones you mentioned and you'll see that even the REAL owners of these phones have more complaints than praises for their phones. They don't even mention to compare the N8 to them because MOST of them know the N8 is a lot better. Their brains are just too hard up to figure the N8 that's why they don't want it. BTW, Symbian^3 is about to be ported to Qt which is the umbrella OS for all Nokia phones going forward. So more developers are jumping to Nokia. Too bad Samsung left Symbian, they now are stuck with Bada that cannot even multitask, like Apple iOS. Now, are you for real man?
