Guys got the Blue N8 5 days ago..all I can say is tat best fone EVER...iam using now bb..bold 2 ..have used iphone and many brands...but no one can beat N8 yet...Fone is very fast...display is wow...apps work very smoothly on it...installed NfS shit work awesome...camera we all knw is mind blowing...still discovering it...Just go buy it guys...AND very impt news...C7 fr sale in india bombay fr 33k...I saw it myself...was shocked...looks nice..

Hi ,
Nokia N8 Users and Owners, I want to be a Nokia Owner soooon!!! and want to know about the following.
Does N8 Support CDMA in India? I mean can we use reliance and tata indicom sim cards in N8?
Does N8 have Pinch zoom and is it fast or is there a lag when we do a pinch zoom in pictures? I read in some post in gsmarena , that formatting the phone is not possible in N8 and once you install apps, you cannot remove them from the phone. Are these comments true? Also does gps which is life long free, have pinch zoom?
Which colour N8 is good? Dark Grey or silver?
Please genuine and Proud N8 owners. Please help me out by answering the above queries. Thanx in advance , to anyone who answers.

He said he opened an additional three apps and that it was still behaving smooth... I showed my friend that video and asked him, kindly, if he could demonstrate something similar on his iphone. He said 'no comment!' But at least he does not have the urge to spam forums by advertising how awesome his purchase is and how everybody lacks behind @pple, otherwise known as spreading fud!

The device had just started up and was still booting. It takes about 15seconds for all start up processes to have completed. During this time, the device, just like any other os, (mobile or pc) responds slowly.
You had tons of apps running simultaneously in the background. And by tons, i mean very very many.
The unit was defective.
The nokia n8 is by no means slow. Read the review. It speaks for itself.

The standby screen always show clock and date/day. Why don't Nokia use this screen (it is always on) to anything else? I want it to display: MISSED CALL or MESSAGE RECEIVED. It is possible?

Hi guys,
I am in great confusion. I was just about to buy N8 from a Nokia priority shop in Cochin, Kerala,India when i heard the phone has to be pre-ordered to get and that too it will take 24k whereas other shop keepers say they will give it for 22,900/- on 22nd oct. Anyways thats not the issue...
When i was in the priority centre i got a chance to check out the new N8 ... but to my utter disappoinment its responce was really really slow... like took 3to 5 seconds to open the apps folder alone... is it normal or is it because it was a defective piece???
please reply... anyone and everyone.. i need all the advice i can get....

This phone has its problems, yes, but its all covered on this site, AAS and similar. He said he canceled his pre-order so why engage him? Let the man buy some other good model with a better camera, better browser, OS...surly his not gonna change his mind now that you pointed those things out now will he?

Hey guys,
Need a quick tip i use an E90 and really happy despite the size. Well my recent usage on phones would be something like viewing live charts which is usefull for trading on the stocks. Can any one suggest a phone or a palm top or a browser which can be handy and portable for day to day use while away from the computer.

-Camera is stunning. Definitely the best I've seen on a phone and beats many pocketcams. Some people have forgot to remove the protective plastic film I think. That will get you bad pictures :)
-Haven't gotten any hangs, crashes or shutdowns yet. There seem to be quite a few trolls here though.
-The phone comes with Xenon flash. That makes it an excellent flash, far better than any dual leds etc. Downside is that it can only "flash" not give constant light. I'll rather take Xenon with this camera.
-So far battery life has been better than other top of the line smartphones, about 1.5 to 2 days when others barely make it a day.
-Battery is more removable than iPhone, but does require opening two Torx screws.
-No problems at all with photoviewer.
-The browser that comes with the phone is not as good as on other smartphones. Nokia has promised a completely new browser though and in the mean time you can just use Opera.

have an N82 which I love very much. I only wanted 2 change my phone for an Iphone or an Android phone, but shortage of funds have limited me. As much as those phones remain better in terms of the software, I will go 4 N8 because of d superior hardware and camera. I've just began 2 save 4 it.

hi everyone, im so tired reading n8 forum everyday, i dont know who telling honest here, most of the comments is bad camera, slow browser,
UI hang, auto shut down, battery is suck, photo viewer is slow, battery not removable, no videolights. any one who post your n8 in youtube? pleased shown all what i mentioned before, i cancelled my preorder from nokia online, because i read more bad comment about n8. thanks. wait for your link.

The processor works fine with the symbian^3 on the n8, with minimal, if not zero lags. It is also capable in playing 720p HD video (y not? this phone does record in 720p hd afterall). Of course it cant play full 1080p HD video. (What phone that is currently in the market can do that aniways, be it Iphone4 nor Galaxy S)

Cant believe nokia, they make these high-end phones dat cost so much but never replace their sluggish arm processor, dnt think this phone wud handle HD movies....
What are we gonna do with a dedicated chipset 4 graphics when d cpu itself is gonna cry....
