redsun, 20 Oct 2010I have already used all nokia high end phones and i am not ... moreWoW.. I didnt even know u r after me. Ok anyway.
Nokia N8 is the first released smartphone to run Symbian^3, but resembles earlier versions of the OS. For ex., the way you can uninstall a third-party application from your N8 changed a little bit. If I were to compare it with Symbian^1 the method improved a little by skipping a small step.To uninstall an app. simply go to App manager and click on the Installed apps option. A long / short list of apps will display on your screen. Now, what really changed is the fact that you don't need to click on the app you want to uninstall and then click on theOptionsmenu where you can use the Uninstall option. You only need to tap and hold on the app and a quick menu will appear, so you can choose the Uninstall option. Don't click on the Option menu, asthe Uninstall won't appear there anymore. OK. Happy now? phew.........

I have fallen in love with the specs. of this new N8 but am unable to find any details if this N8 has a lens cover protector same as on the N95 where the lens is protected by a cover until you are ready to use the camera.
All the pics. I've seen show the lens unprotected.
Would appreciate any details from N8 users.

Nokia is a big company and had been succeeded in this pretty tight phone world business as a leader, so if they think Android is better than Symbian why don't they take it to push their sales (Nokia is still at the top ranking chart, so if Android is worthy and they don't use it, surely Nokia will loose a big part of their income, just think about it - there must be a strong reason Nokia don't need to take android as their OS. Symbian is being better and better, why bother to take an untrustworthy OS since we don't even know Android will stands the test of time or not, there's still no proof.

                  hi guys..
m a loyal customer of nokia.. have been buying nokia since past 8 years. have done research on nokia N8. its good for price of about 23k indian rupees. but the services of nokia.. makes me think about buying another nokia.
about the phone .. everything else seems good.. just a slight issue with the slow processor speed and a very new OS.

Thanks guys for backing me up. If you guys are with me, then together we will sweep the stupid iphone users away from here (but if they still wanna stay, let them hear the true stories of the true mobile phone company).
And if any losers want to write something about my comment, I wanna ask them, prove me that what I told is wrong. I agree that iphone3g was good, but not iphone4. Once again I had to say: don't judge someone by their father. And if gsmarena deletes my comment, I'll ask them to delete those comments as well where people named us, abused us, the nokia users. They have no right to do that. A phone is a persons own choice. I can use a nokia while my best friend can use another, but I can't tell him anything for that. My war is against those who come here to abuse people. Maybe 5mp does good for me, but someone gets it done with 3.15mp. But I have no right to abuse him by telling that my 5mp is superior to his 3.15mp.
So gsmarena, please read the comment before you delete. Next time please don't let anyone comment while abusing in it.
Once again, keep on rocking, keep on NOKIA-ing. N8 rules!!!

i am a proud owner on n8 for 3 days now. 2 years warranty since i pre-ordered this with nokia . I would not need to pry open the casing as it is not necessary.
