Part of Middle East will get N8 that's manufactured in Finland because of the short shipping distance
if you're in india would you pay the extra shipping costs just to get "Finland" word?
it's Nokia product afterall same hardware same quality EVERYTHING IS SAME

[deleted post]The n8 wasnt meant to compete with the iphone4 (but the n8 might beat the iphone 3gs) and the galaxy s (even nokia says that the n8 is not measnt to be compared to the iphone 4 and galaxy s). the n8 is a considered as a higher middle-class phone, not a high end phone. HOWEVER, the nokia n900 can be compared to the iphone4 and galaxy s.

Amazing interface and OS and music is too good on the earphones the phone is worth every buck spent !

i love my n8 because it is not a fruit or berry phone.
it even coms with a innbuilt tiny secretary that tell me
were to go and how to get there and also tells the names of
the caller and reads my mesages by loudspeker to me.
i dont think there is a limit to what this phone can do i give it a 9 out of 10 points.i have had it for two weeks now.

For anyone that's getting the n8, make sure you push the headphone jack in really, really hard until you hear it snap. Thought my headphones were broken...LOL. Ahh, that's better. :O)

Oh come on guys, this phone has only been in the market for less than 1 month and your bashing it like it has been in the market since the past 2 years. Give nokia a chance to provide updates and apps for users, let them improve on the next batch of n8. Dont just jump to a conclusion just because of some problems.

people get crazy about these gadgets and when its in their hands they complaint tat i hate it its slow laggy hardware issues and so on. come on guys its just a phone.

I did try another pair of earphones and they work fine. The ovi suite was causing the n8 mess up. It would keep saying that it's synching and would take a long time..then I eventually would disconenct it and all my songs would be there.
I'm so disappointed.... :o(
I'm worried that if I get an exchange and have a problem, I won't be able to get a refund. I think I will just get a full refund...but I want the n8 so bad. I really like it.

Dwane, 16 Oct 2010sorry to have to report this but despite the phone being re... moreI'm sorry to hear about that dwane. I suggest you return that immediately, if the same thing ever happen to me i might throw the thing out of the window. But luckily, as i've said, i don't pre-order.
And i suggest you update the firmware. I guess that's where the main problem lies. Now if nothing changed. Return it. Ask for refund.

Before buying, i test the unit first, retail stores allow me to do everything that i can do with it, swipe this, swipe that, and if it hangs, or crash, or if it simply fails to impress... No deal!! I value my money.
It has something to do with luck i guess. Since, basing on the comments about nokia hanging, and crashing, i can only suspect they have poor quality control. Cause none of my previous nokias gave me any headaches. While my friend's nokia phone do sometimes. I wonder.

I'm in USA...I've had the N8 for a few days and tonight found out the headphones do not work....they sound like crap! It's not the music either, the videos pre-installed sound the same way. The buttons do not work on the phone either.
Tried to use ovi suite and the n8 kept locking up.
My stomach hurts....can't believe I paid 600 USD for this. I'm returning it for a full refund.
Sorry guys...not sure I can get an exchange. My N8 was made in China. I'm not dogging China, just stating a fact.
