I agree that nokia could have adopted android and easily could have made this phone the world winner, with nobody to come near it on hardware...
Nokia is a fighter and it has just entered the touch battlefield, it has all it needs to develop a all round great touch os, but it takes time, u can't just go and ask google guys to take some lessons for touch, android and htc have been in this world for years, did u hear any htc name before one and a half year? Nope, android is great but nokia is on its way, its growing learning and running. There guys have delivered greatest smartphones in bars, and are used to keys, but its changing...
Just a first step to touch market and all these phones are on top of daily interest charts in GSMA already, just wait for say 6 months and find nokia wrestling droids and ios out single handedly...

applications&gam, 15 Oct 2010ovi store hasnt got great applications and games. Nokia dic... moreBuddy everything u are talking about is already available with symbian, just skip the ovi library enter sites like gallery.mobile9 and find all your stuff...
For all im u have ebuddy (can manage all accounts like yahoo, gtalk, windows live, facebook, and many more simultaneously) or nimbuzz...
For all round audio and video you have core player as it plays almost any file available in video format, and many more divx players and flv players on the list...
For games i don't know about the ones u mentioned, not on my favourites list, but i've played games like ea fight round2, ea nfs shift, tomb raider, and many more, and i guess ngage 2.0 games are even more fun with some ranging like 12mb of data so u can imagine the graphics...
          Have fun...

Anonymous, 15 Oct 2010was thinking of buying this phone, have even made a pre ord... morehy brother you wanna buy galaxy go for it but when u talk about applications, symbian has been the greatest smartphone os in the past, and with a large hacker community, you can manage to get almost any app u find on any symbian gallery for free..
I've about 75 app and 45 3d games on my previous symbian wha are all greatly useful, with ones like msdict 7, advanced devicke locks, and also quickoffice 6, all hacked and free, running great on my phone...
Android has a great app gallery too but u can get all that u want for free, for eg, document editor, and many other app which will loosen a bit of your pockets... If u are superrich and u don't care go ahead...
Symbian is anyways gonna develop faster than both as it has the biggest developer support, it has just put its feet in the touch environment and u can see the reaction, imagine with things like meego, n9 n sym 4, already on the developers board...

was thinking of buying this phone, have even made a pre order but after reading the reviews, all i can say is this is a great camera phone. but if one is to surf the net or want apps, this phone is not the one. so now i may go for android phone. my friend have samsung galaxy s and have been praising it since he bought it and the apps are awesome. same goes to my friend who have iphone.

Anonymous, 15 Oct 2010Android is the future of smartphones, symbian is looserAndroid may seem to be the leader of mobile OS, but first check why symbian still exists:
                        -more apps available
-needs less RAM than Android ( sorta like windows vista & XP)
                        -Symbian can run non-touch phones
-& lastly being older it has more themes, so its awfully easy to modify !

20K is the maximum cost. but why nokia used symbian on it. they should have used android

The future for Symbian will be a real different experience than what you think of it right now! Symbiotic relationships anyone. A Technology convergence of SMARTPHONES. SMART Hardware, SMART Software with the user. Your phone will know you! lol
