N8 will defin... moreWell it's because that Symbian has got good memory management apart from it being less resource hungry. 1ghz will drain the battery. Look at Samsung Galaxy S. It will last max a day and half most of moderate use. Moreover Android is processor hungry so it need minimum 1 ghz to run smoothly. So for Symbian 3 especially it dont need that much processor speed. Can't compare your X6 and N8 coz it worlds apart. I agree more RAM would be good.
Let's face we live in a world that everything evolves around bigger is better, faster is better. Just like our computers we are all think more RAM is good but sometimes in certain situation too much RAM would slow down a OS. Basically is the architecture.

in nokia showroom in UAE they r saying N8 will be sold between 2600-2800DHS...if it happens it will be damn fail....cuz 2800dhs for good camera only is not at all worth the money...cuz the OS sucks,,its slow...nd the ovi store which is not as huge as apple app store or nor the growing android market...i can get SONY NEX5 DSLR with 2599dhs...
ALSO Etisalat is selling the iphone4 32gb for 2399!!!! only...nd the 16GB model for 2199DHS...which is far more better device...but the camera is not as good as n8...but still iphone4 wins in every other features..
nd also there's galaxy S which Etisalat is selling for 2500DHS...which is same as the iphone 4 but with android OS..

WHY da they are not giving us 1Gig processor? N8 will definatly hang if processor is less than 1 Gig. COZ of the amount of storage they r giving to us will requir good processor ! if samsung can affrord to give it at cheaper cost than why nokia is nt givein ? RAM is Also less ! it should be around 512 or 768 MB.Coz after loadin OS u get only 25% to use for ur application. in ma X6-16gb i get only 30MB RAM free. symbian requires AV if u test many apps so it will also requir processing power + RAM. the GOOD thing is that i has got amoled screen which will increase battry life considarbly and will give good contrast.

One reason is Nokia has good after sales as compared to Samsung and the will continue to give more updates to improve the phone. One more reason is Nokia has removed all the bugs and problems from the S60 fifth edition. Let's face it some people prefer to get an older model coz all the bugs would have been removed and for the newer phones nobody knows what problems would arise. So which is more stable. You won't regret it.

I like the weight coz it gives a feeling of it being solid and well made. Plastic phones tend to creak after some times.

Anonymous, 15 Oct 2010N8 is outdated OS. Nokia is time to give up and start a new OS. Symbian is the most mature OS in the market now. Let's see Unix is very old OS but Apple is using it coz its rock solid and stable. Linux is very old but nobody complain saying it's outdated. Its the shell that matters not the OS behind. I agree its not the most eye candy OS but it gets things done and you can do many more from it plus it's stable now as compared to S60 V5.

What all the hype about. Whether its made in China or anywhere else is the same. Most of the electronics including handphones are made in China. There's no running away from it. Motorola, SonyEricsson, Apple computers, iPhone, TV's, laptops DVD players etc all made in China so what's the big deal.
If you like it just get it and if you cant afford it don't say its too expensive coz there are cheaper phones to meet your budget. That's life. If you can afford a Mercedes or BMW or Roll Royce get it if not just get a Suzuki, Toyota and be happy. Atop complaining. Sorry but be realistic.
