Seeing as how the battery is now 'removable' and it looks like a standard Nokia battery, would it be possible to replace it with a stronger battery?

Some people just don't just get that a lower processor does not mean that the device will be slow/laggy. This quote is taken from Gsmarena's preview of the N8:

'As you see the hardware is all there – there’re not too many devices out there that can match the Nokia N8. Some will understandably frown at what looks like unimpressive CPU clock speed and scarce RAM. Just remember that it’s the performance to be judged here and not the sheer numbers.
Different platforms have different needs so we’ll only know if Symbian^3 can do without a 1GHz Snapdragon after we’ve seen the N8 in proper action.'

No doubt that the N8 will perform better with a faster processor. However, a better processor means that the price of the N8 will be higher, so will the battery consumption, and the phone will be thicker. And nobody wants a more expensive N8 with a short battery life. Just have a look at

By the end of the day after I had browsed the web and listened to some music, I still had like 52% of the battery left when I went to sleep.

But sadly, can't comment on the flash part (which was the only thing you asked, lol)

xyz, 09 Oct 2010hello friends, this is a power packed mobile... no doubt i... moreThe user is not even supposed to remove the battery. If you need it replaced, the Nokia Care will do it for you during the warranty. Openin the screws MAY void the warranty, you should at least check this before doing it.

You can reset the device without taking the battery off the same way you do in laptops and computers, hold the power button down for around 8s and it does a full power cut off. No matter how jammed the phone would be, the power goes off.

It's not that compact, but neither is any other smartphone comparable to the N8. I think it's just perfect in size, 3,5" screen isnt too big or too small, 135g feels right in my hand, etc. I guess it's what you are used to.

Why is it a bad thing to have the SIM port next to the memory card slot?

But i heard that, we need a screw driver to see even the battery and the SIM card port is near to the memory card port... then it got a big size and not compact.. There is no other things as drawbacks..
                                Simply awesome...

Anonymous, 09 Oct 2010What does N8 no match to your 3GS? Is this sarcasm?Even as an N8 fan I can answer to that, probably overall fastness (although illusion, mainly), smoothness and web browsing until N8 gets the new browser. Also, selection of apps.

Not everyone does. Many people are happy when they can nicely browse the web and listen to music, and in such case I'm not sure if theres a better device for it than the iPhone :D

Although they are abit costy, but the chances are that you'll feel more home with the iPhones.
