what i would like to know is why gsmarena are defending the nokia n8 from real cristisism? its a shakey operating system to say the least, i work in a phone shop and symbian causes the vast majoriety of our complaints. what nokia need to do in my opinion is get on the andriod bandwagon and ditch this datedm, slow, and unconvincing o.s

there is no option to change the default message storage in nokia n8 that is you cannot chose to save your messages on either the 16GB or on SD card :(

Wheez, 06 Oct 2010Thats an opinion that doesnt hold true for me. I choose the... morethe USB OTG is a nice extra feature ,as i mention more speed and less lag could much better not for me only but for the most of the phone users.

you might have no problems with the slowness and frequent unresponsive of symbian 3 (very obvious in youtube videos)because you only uses nokia phones, but for iOS and android users they should be told that symbian is completely 5 years back experience for them.

now let's go back to the USB OTG,some reviewers could not connect external hard drive to n8 and also others could not connect 16g flash memory,i wish they are wrong.

you've mentioned that mobile-review get paid by samsung, there is nothing wrong with that, because a lot of mobile websites get paid by phones manufacturers wither samsung,nokia,iphone...etc
in the form of money or the form of free phones.

and here is a proof: since when gsmarena defend a mobile phone reviewed by the others???!!!

                http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_n8_gets_lots_of_stick_in_early_reviews_we_wonder_why-news-1973.php

gsmarena has got the n8 but no review till now, why?
only wasting the time by camera comparison game.
and we all know n8 has great if not the best camera, but our concern is symbian 3 lagging or not,web browser fast or slow, techradar review correct or wrong?????????

Symbian is really working hard on japan too. :)

Gingerbread will have a tough competition on high-end.

                        In response to Jack.

You seem to be a stinking fanatic of Nokia, Either your brain is too small or you are openly marketing for Nokia with half truths. Remember we are reviewing product superiority and you must dwell on the features, Performance, ease of operation and value for money not on irrelevant issues. We consumers are intelligent to choose based on the specifications and performance. You will make us loose interest on GSM arena for that unwarranted explanations.

Also, once again, just cos something is slower, doesnt mean its slow. Im very happy with the overall balance of speed, features, ussbility and looks. Of course thr iPhone is faster, it has nothing that would put any load on the system

I dont have to wait for stuff to happen any more so than I have to wait on my computer

I choose the N8 for its unrivaled hw features. I knew it wouldnt be as smooty as iphone 4 for example. Just cos speed is more important than USB OTG for you doesnt mean its so for everyone.

It is nice to see the ratings goin up back, i know there were thousands of nokia haters that rushed to this page to rate the n8 with zeros.

To whoever under rated nokia n8, u have failed.
