Very few will edit office documents on their phone because today the small Netbooks are so much better. My Samsung N210 has a betterylife that is much, very very much, better than on any phone.
N8 will be useless for office editing because the onscreen qwerty-keyboard covers most of the screens already few pixels 360 x 640.
N8 is only all about the camera, while usb on the go is completely useless/pointless and no buyer will ever want to connect usb to N8 because the small Symbian screen resolution makes it very unpleasant to watch movies and N8 does only has onscreen qwerty wich makes it almost impossible to edit anyting on the phone, and even E7 will be useless for editing documents because of the small Symbian screen resolution. Usb on the go is useless/pointless, but Nokia had to try and invent something new that no other phone has even if it is something as useless as usb on the go.

i bet nokia n8 will be damn slow n laggy like their previous symbion devices n97 n n96

Hey Wheez maybe you can answer my question.
Hey guys ive noticed on the Nokia N8 it comes with the AC 15 charger which the plug the pins are round. Im from the USA and that plug wont go in the standard outlet we have here, does it come with and adapter.... or a difffent plug for the USA

I personally rather have slightly worse OS and way more hardware features. No app will give u that hdmi oe usb otg. Theres more than being best and being crap.
Not to mention i personally have very little complaints about about the N8. It has exceeded every expection i had before i got it

@wheez: on the left side of the phone there is the microsd,sim card and that HOLE that comes next ? what is it a notification light? and then the microusb slot.. i know the notification is on the menu key itself but still what is it?

I dont really care/have use for apps myself. Symbian3 can use old S60 apps and apps written in Qt will work im S3, S4 and meego in future.
The on screen qwerty and keypad are very good and responsive. I wouldnt change a thing

To all the people defending Symbian3 OS by talking about N8 hardware features.. saying "but it can connect to hdmi" or "but it has a 12mpx camera" won't make up for the fact that Symbian OS is OUT DATED, SLoW and down right ugly!!

hey wheez can u please tell us about the battery lasting. This phone is an ultimate device from nokia but the only thing i doubted since i am following this is its 1200 mah battery which i feel can lag in performance due to the enormous features provided along with the phone. Please let us know as thats the only factor thats keeping me to order it. If not right away u can let me know after using it for say 3-4 days.

Why do you have to compare it with android apple or anything else.....
To be frank Nokia have lost somewhere... but are getting back slowly NOW!! Look at the N8, it has to offer a 3.5" Amoled, Capacitive touch screen better than ANY NOKIA .. symbian 3 (missed symbian after using n900.. n900 was a complete phone though :P, needed a 12mp NOKIA) USB OTG and a NOKIA OVI MAPS for free... i dont want to talk about the HDMI cuz it dosn matter to me..
i want this phone for my self.. when compared to others Nokia N8 is on par by one thing or the other. that could be the camera or the USB OTG or the body.. what matter is that what i am satisfied with... if you have never used an android or iphone it wont matter to you..cuz being a nokia fan i have never bought a phone other than nokia.. it has never let me down.. i maybe a frog in the well who hasn seen other capabilites but guess what i am the king of that well ;).. i have used the nokia Ngage-QD , N82(gosh what a phone :D) 5800 XM and the N900(abandoned beauty)... well each one had its own quality.. n8 has em all and much better(well n900 had a diff os that beat symbian.. people who used n900 know what i am talking about.. but Maemo is still a baby compared to symbain and people who have used both will understand).. what more do IIIIII need?
