After 2 1/2 years still happy. Even battery performance (appr. 40% lower than initially) still satisfactory. No reason for me to change! Stunning hardware, rock solid. Strengths: Connectivity (HDMI, USB-OTG etc.), multimedia (many video-codecs supported), GPS (very strong, works fine without network assistance), cam - unquestionable. Talk quality very good, VoIP works seamless, as well as IMAP/Exchange/ etc. - With new battery ready for the next 2 years. Thumbs up!

I had this N8 for the last two years. I love it. It keeps me comunicated almost everywhere I go, no call hungs. Also, the offline gps is the best option for me, due I need to go all around the country. The 12Mpx camera takes great photos. The connectivity is awesome.
I had an android phone, it was faster and with a bunch of more apps available, but the multitask, and the above mentioned features, took me back to my N8 "smart" phone.
It´s even better than the new Lumia series which can´t even increase the amount of memory. N8 Rocks! Greetings from MX.

Here are a few ways to make the N8 an even more awesome phone in my opinion. First of all though, I love this phone and will use it till it quits on me which I hope is never. The build quality rocks!

O.k., I was able to get 200mb of free space on C drive by upgrading to the XEON belle refresh firmware from n8fanclub. Just do a search for XEON. My N8 is definitely more snappy and responsive. They have a step by step guide on how to do that. Pretty simple really.

              A few add-ons the I totally recommend:
              1. Camera Pro QT. Awesome program that makes N8 camera even better. Better than the default.
              2. Access apps. You can swipe from the right to access your favorite apps.
              3. Belle extra Buttons. More customization to suit your needs.
              4. TTpod for music. I LOVE this music player. Works really great and has lots of skins to choose from. I love that it has visualizations too.

To keep it short, these are just a few things that make my N8 even better. Thought I would share.

N8 and all symbiand 3 devices as well as their successors like 701 and 808 are felt like brand new phones right now because they are running Belle.

It will rock for several years to come and they will stand against the test of time. No problemo, Enjoy your Belle.

There is zero need to install F-Secure or any other anti-virus software on the N8 especially when talking about commwarrior. That particular piece of malware was written for some earlier S60 devices and even then you had to manually install it yourself and give it permission. Besides, if were foolish enough to install it it wouldn't restart the phone, it just replicated itself via MMS.

AnonD-117417, 15 Mar 2013hey....would it be wise to buy a symbian smartphone like n8... moreBuying a Symbian phone such as the N8 would mean that you would have no software support at all. No updates and very little in the way of any new apps if any at all. You would still have a manufacturers warranty if you buy the device brand new though.

If you can afford the extra cost you'd be better off buying the SGS3 or why not consider getting a Nokia Lumia device. I have a Lumia 920 and my wife has the 620 and both are great phones. I also own a Galaxy S 3 but the only thing that's good about it is the large number of apps available, otherwise it's a boring phone.

hassanjan khater, 14 Mar 2013which is better os belle or anna for n 8 Overall belle is better. Anna has allot of pros over belle, but, overeall belle is more normal user friendly and more optimized for a touchscreen... As for performance... I don't remeber how anna was like anynore. But as far as i remember, thee is no great difference... I don't like the browser in belle. The browser from anna was full screen. From belle is not. And n8 is already a not so big sceeen device, this browser making it a bit annoying eapecialy when in landscape mode... But there is opera who solves the problem.:).

I wish to buy this N8, but not sure whether it's available in Bangalore. Or else have to opt for L620.

Nnanna, 13 Mar 2013i have downloaded the netqin antivirus and scaned my nokia ... moreMaybe is not a virus, maybe your firmware got bricked. Just reinstall your firmware and everything will come to normal. First do a factory reset (*#7370#) then see what's happening, maybe you dont need a firmware reinstall. Backup just your important data before proceeding...
