n8 will be available to those in Calcutta who preorder the phone by paying 5000 INR now by 30th of September. The phone will be sold in the market from end of next month. The lauch price will be 28,999 INR. I found out all these information from the NPD at Gariahat. The phone will be launched in Calcutta in only two colors : blue and silver.

Is it cos it has more hits pre-release than ur phone has after release? Or is it the USB OTG ur phone doesnt have? Maybe the 12mpix Carl Zeiss camera ur phone lacks?

this phone has not released yet and it has almost become one the most popular phones around....102974 votes and 5106507 hits aren't crossed by any other phone before release!!!! some serious marketing by nokia!!! but why aren't their phones as exciting??

3 points:
1.) What firmware is this? Only a comparison with the Nokia N8′s that are on sale is fair
2.) You’re comparing the UI. That’s it. Just the surface layer and nothing else. iOS quickly shows how weak it is when you compare the architecture of the phone and all the stuff ‘behind the scenes’.
3.) Symbian^3 is more than fast enough for most people – this was Nokia’s focus for the N8 after all, AND way faster than S^1 – that’s right the same S^1 that has grown Nokia smartphone sales 35% over the last year and increased marketshare.

How can a phone have 5.1 million hits and 100k votes when it is not release yet. You know why?
Because N8 is an ultimate smartphone. It has the best features. Others think 1ghz is the best. youre wrong. How can this be poweful if it doesnt have the efficiency!
N8 has 256 MB of ram + 768 MB virtual memory which will be used by adding it to the Ram when it is needed like in multitasking apps.
