i hope nokia wil not delay their releasing date again.....i have been waiting for this n8 for six months and have bought the HTC LEGEND but already trade in into samsung WAVE but the N8 is still not yet launch.... NOKIA is playing APPLE kind of marketing tactic but i hope it wont fail like the iphone4

Unfortunately, the world has moved away from feature phones, and true smartphones need great apps, a beautiful and intuitive user interface, and seamless integration with social media and Web apps. It’s this aspect that the Nokia N8 falls short on.
If you want the world’s best feature phone, buy the Nokia N8. If you’re a Nokia fanboy and you want the best phone that Nokia have ever produced, then buy the Nokia N8.
But if you want your smartphone to be, well, smart, and connected with the mobile Web and your social media apps, then you’d be better off with a top-end Android phone, such as the new HTC Desire HD or the Samsung Galaxy S, or even the iPhone.

Symbian^3 has flashlite 4,itz a lite version of flash10.1 ! Meego will have new UI,new icons,it ll have a faster new processor and many more ! Itz a linux based os !

i found out from a nokia priority in kolkata, india that the n8 will be launched by the last week of september and will be approximately priced at 27-28k.

After thinking sometime, i realize e7 is huge and very hard to hold. But i like the design.
And i notice that n8's live shots always looks better than official shots. Looks compact too.
Still confused.

Adding autofocus to such a camera would only result in the possibility to focus closer to the lens, that's all. The depth of field (DOF) of such a system is very very high so there is no need for focussing
the higher you go in quality, the bigger the image sensor usually is (like the N8) but also the smaller your DOF will become. With a small DOF it is necessary to focus your lenses so you have the right thing in focus.
off course there is still the aperture of your lens afffecting DOF but I'm not getting in to that, it would bore you

All camera phones have it, as long as you hold your phone really steady and stable, the picture you're taking on will be focus. Autofocus is not useless, all dslr or professional cameras have it as a basic camera feature!

do the e7, c7, & the c6-01 have autofocus like the n8 or not as this site says it does, but these opinions suggest they don't. or is it that the autofocus if at all present is useless?

who's voting this phone down? even if it got zeros rating it's still way better than iphone,samsung,htc,ericsson,blackcrappy,LG etc...
it has ALL what people needs including me.
12MP carl zeiss cam - Xenon flash - USB OTG - Bluetooth 3 - wifin - AMOLED - FM Transmitter - up to 10.2Mbps HSDPA - HDMI - DVB-H Addon - Dolby Digital Plus - Free navigation for life... it got everything in it!! in a slim 13mm device and 3.5" display which is perfect size for pocket add to that it's solid aluminum not a cheap plastic like others
this was dream for many people until it got real
