Sunny, 15 Sep 2010How come the Final version of the phone is slower than the ... moreI've been wondering the same. The 2-3 different N8s I've used in Finland are all very fast and no laggy/sluggyness anywhere. All the Nokia World videos show slow ass N8s.

I could figure that when gazillion people have used them, there might be shitloads of applications running in the background or something.

But I don't really know. The one that I go use nearly daily cos I can't keep my hands off it is nowhere near as slow, and it's available for testing in Nokias flagship store.

I think people are forgetting that these things are pretty much computers nowaday. I have an expensive gaming laptop myself, that has quite abit of power in it. Genuinly trying to multitask 15 different programs on it would certainly make it slow down. Why would a phone be any different?

Also, do you really have a need to do multitask 15 programs at the same time? Also, computers are usually rebooted daily, but mobile phones arn't for a reason. Most problems that occur in Windows can be fixed with a reboot. Having a freshly booted phone (I think Nokia suggested like once per two weeks at least) will keep the thing running fluid.

Also, don't forget that in N8 it's REAL multitasking, not freezing the applications and telling you they are open. Depending on the application though there might not be much if any action going on, but it still eats RAM.
