JZ, 03 Sep 2010N8 supports asian fonts for email? Korean and Chinese? Most likely, as the Beijing factory will be making the N8s for asian markets, would make no sense for them to be included :D

RONALD, 03 Sep 2010This is hidden worrying point of Nokia n8 ?Also, if it was a worrying point or simply a downside of the phone, all the prototype reviewers would've probably said something about it.

So far I havn't at least found any complaints of the battery

RONALD, 03 Sep 2010This is hidden worrying point of Nokia n8 ?I'm personally not exactly worried about it. The symbian is very light and a mature OS compared to alternatives, this combined with lesser, underclocked specs, it should be just fine

we buy what WE need, not what YOU want!! learn to respect people's decision.

you named yourself "the facts" yet I don't see any "FACTS" in your posts other than bragging "my phone is the best of the best of the best of the best of its kind"

[deleted post]And? The phone is not even out yet, probably 95% of those votes have never even seen the phone live. There are "stat padders" who vote 10 10 10 and people who vote 1 1 1.

That voting holds no intellectual value at this point.

However, if u look at the popularity, it has alot more hits than some of the very well known phones, and this one isn't even out yet.

Kooma, 03 Sep 2010It will arrive next week to Finland(according to digitoday)... moreDigitoday failed at reading comprehension.

What was originally said was that you can start preordering the green model (that has been missing so far) starting next week.

So no, the phone still aint being released next week. Or it can be if Nokia pulls some weird move, but that's not what was said on the forums, digitoday just failed.

Main disadvantages of iPhone 4-OR N8 is ...
                                - Hardware design is prone to reception issues(no such prob.in Nokia N8)-in europe no reception problems
like in us, and the design is awesome on iphone4
                                - MicroSIM card support only(N8 is pentaband)-in 2-3 years everybody will use micro-sim-economilcal production cost is cheaper less plastic.
                                - No Flash support in the web browser(N8 has flashlite4)-wrong ....html?
                                - No true multitasking for all applications(symbian has true multitasking)-after 6 months there will be on every app., application are not made by apple
                                - FaceTime video calls work only over Wi-Fi(N8 over wifi n 3g to anyother video call capable phone) -how about the speed of 3g on nokia n8?
                                - No file transfer over Bluetooth or USB Mass
Storage mode(N8 can do,has USB otg)-what???wrong again i always transfer over bluetooth
                                - No hardware shutter key for the camera(N8 12MP xenon, best cam)
                                - No FM radio(N8 has,fm transmitter)-wrong ,what ? no need FM when i have 1000app with dedicated radio stations dhahaha
                                - No stereo speakers(N8-dolby digital ,D class)- apple sound/images videos are better

wahaha. I agree. iphone 4 is not even a smartphone. N8 is monster mobile computer!

When is the Nokia N9 not the Nokia N9? When it’s the Nokia E7. We’ve seen plenty of evidence to suggest that the QWERTY N9 we’ve been gawping at all along is the Nokia E7. Here we present our evidence for why the Nokia E7 is shaping up to be the first Symbian^3 device in the E Series range.

Recently we’ve seen shots and a video of the Nokia N9 – a sliding QWERTY keypad packing affair running MeeGo, as spotted on the web. But even before then we’ve seen s few shots of another handset also said to be the Nokia N9, except that it could actually be the Nokia E7.

While we’ve previously speculated upon the existence of the Nokia E7 under disguise as the Nokia N9, we think there’s enough evidence to make a call on exposing the device formerly known s the N9 as the Nokia E7 as one we we will see in future, along with the Nokia N9 proper, and C7.

As i-Symbian.com reported a while back, the Nokia E7 could be a QWERTY toting AMOLED 4-inch touchscreen device, with an 8-megapixel camera, running Symbian^3 and cased in the same anodised aluminium we’ve seen in previous images and video of a device previously assumed to be the N9 measuring just 14mm in depth. Too much of a coincidence, no?

The folks at SlashGear seemed to agree when they said the “…Nokia E7 sounds a whole lit like the QWERTY-equipped Symbian^3 smartphone we’ve been seeing well-leaked in recent weeks, and that has been labelled the N9 or the N8-001/N8-002 by some.” That was, of course referring to this report of a leaked release roadmap from Omio, who told SlashGear that they’re 100-per cent sure of its source of the story dubbing the E7 “a serious bid for messaging supremacy” with Symbian^3, AMOLED display, aluminium shell and a full QWERTY keyboard and tilting touchscreen.

This video also appears to display a C-series device, but it could well be that the ‘C0-00′ code on the back refers to a prototype device, rather than a C-series phone. Look again and it’s looking a lot like the Nokia E7 we’ve been hearing about.

Nobody’s denying it exists, an XML profile for the Nokia E7 was even spotted online just a couple of days ago confirming that it, along with a Nokia C6-01 will run Symbian^3 with a 640 x 360 display with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. But we’re convinced we’ve already seen it and we hope all will be revealed at Nokia World 2010.

Nokia has been buying Google Adwords to reveal the release date in the UK. The ads in question say the Nokia N8 is in stock and ready for dispatch on September 23rd. They also included that the UK will have it one week before anyone else. The ads forward to nokia.co.uk/n8 but the pre-order button is yet to be seen. Perhaps they went up prematurely.

The pre-order has already been available in the US, but with the availability at the end of September. I’m a little jealous our friends in the UK will have it a week earlier.

                                      GOOD NEWS FOR THE UK!
